SJC gold price increased to 90 million VND/tael

This morning, the State Bank continued to increase the intervention price of gold bars by 1 million VND per tael.

Accordingly, the selling price of SJC gold at 4 State-owned commercial banks ( Agribank , BIDV, VietinBank, Vietcombank), SJC Company and large enterprises listed on the market also increased by 1 million VND per tael, at 88.00 - 90.00 million VND/tael.

Domestic gold prices increased sharply following the increase in world prices. In the last session, the precious metal market continued to set a new record high, moving closer to 2,800 USD/ounce.

Specifically, December gold futures last traded at $2,788.50 an ounce, up 0.27% on the day. While spot gold as of 10 a.m. Vietnam time also advanced to nearly $2,788 an ounce.

Gold prices rose despite the US 10-year bond yield rising back to a three-month high as the US economy and labor market remained resilient.

Some experts say that at the moment, the growing US debt is starting to make investors worry about the possibility of further inflation and currency depreciation. In this context, gold is the only asset that is completely independent and recognized as a safe haven.
