Gold price skyrocketed by 600,000 VND, reaching a historical high of 125.4 million VND.

(GLO)- After a slight decrease yesterday, this morning (August 21), the domestic gold market recorded a jump of up to 600,000 VND per tael. Currently, the selling price of gold bars is at 125.4 million VND, the highest ever.

The domestic gold market from the beginning of August until now has generally been on an upward trend and has continuously set new peaks. This morning, large domestic gold, silver and gemstone businesses such as DOJI , SJC, Bao Tin Minh Chau, and PNJ simultaneously increased their prices by 600,000 VND in both buying and selling directions, currently trading at 124.4-125.4 million VND/tael.

Mi Hong's buying price approached 125 million VND when it was trading at 124.8 million VND/tael, 400,000 VND higher than other businesses. Phu Quy still kept the difference between buying and selling at 2 million VND when the buying price was low, 123.4 million VND/tael.

The lowest transaction level recorded this week for the gold bar market was 123.8-124.5 million VND/tael. Compared to the beginning of the week, the gold price has increased by 1 million VND.

Similarly, the gold ring market also recorded an increase compared to yesterday's trading session, with listed prices depending on each business. Phu Quy 9999 round rings are currently trading at 117-120 million VND/tael; Mi Hong is priced at 118.2-119.7 million VND/tael; Bao Tin Minh Chau is trading at 117.5-120.5 million VND/tael; SJC is buying at 117.3 million VND, selling at 119.8 million VND; PNJ is also trading at 117.3-120.3 million VND/tael.

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:00 a.m. on August 21, Vietnam time, was 3,341.22 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 19.34 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,520 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 107.01 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Currently, domestic gold is 18.4 million VND higher than world gold.
