Gasoline price drops below 20,000 VND/liter

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just announced an adjustment in gasoline prices with a reduction in the prices of most products, effective from 3:00 p.m. on August 14.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , based on the developments in world oil prices, fluctuations in the VND/USD exchange rate and current regulations, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance decided to adjust retail prices of oil products to ensure domestic prices are consistent with world trends, encourage the use of biofuels and harmonize interests among market participants.

Maximum retail price for gasoline prices E5-RON 92: no higher than VND 19,354/liter (down VND 254/liter compared to the current base price), lower than RON95-III gasoline by VND 540/liter.

RON95-III gasoline: no higher than VND 19,884/liter (down VND 190/liter compared to the current base price).

Diesel 0.05S: not higher than VND 18,077/liter (down VND 723/liter compared to current base price).

Kerosene: not higher than VND 18,020/liter (down VND 640/liter compared to current base price).

Mazut oil 180CST 3.5S: not higher than VND 15,268/kg (down VND 379/kg compared to current base price).

In this adjustment period, the joint ministries decided to continue not to set aside and not to use the petroleum price stabilization fund for E5-RON 92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene and fuel oil products.

According to the joint agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance, the market gasoline The world market from August 7 to August 14 was affected by many factors, with mixed up and down trends for all commodities.

The average price of finished petroleum products in the world during the recent price adjustment period was 77.030 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (down 1.478 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.88%); 79.142 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (down 1.056 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.32%);

83,924 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 3,692 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 4.21%); 84,716 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 4,152 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 4.67%); 407,194 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 13,608 USD/ton, equivalent to a decrease of 3.23%).
