Dong Ha City Marathon 2024

This morning, April 21, the People's Committee of Dong Ha City coordinated with VietRace365 Joint Stock Company and Quang Tri Runners Club to organize the 2024 Dong Ha City Marathon - A breakthrough journey on the land of fire. The 2024 Dong Ha City Marathon brings together more than 2,500 professional and amateur male and female athletes competing in 3 distances: 5km, 10km and 21km.

The 2024 Dong Ha City Marathon is the first large-scale race held in Dong Ha City.

With the theme: "Breakthrough journey on the land of fire", in addition to recognizing the breakthrough efforts, overcoming personal limits of athletes, igniting endless inspiration for the community about mass sports , arousing the spirit of sports, training, the race also conveys very humane messages about solidarity, team spirit, community activities, visiting and experiencing local culture and history.

The success of this year's season is of great significance in creating the premise for the Dong Ha City Marathon to become an annual traditional activity, thereby further promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports in the city to develop more and more, contributing to promoting the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

This is also an opportunity to promote the image of the land and people of Quang Tri in general and Dong Ha city in particular to domestic and foreign friends, contributing to the development of local tourism .

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 6 overall first prizes to: Athlete Bui Van Dong (number 50295), Athlete Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong (number 50258) for the 5km distance for men and women; Athlete Nguyen Dinh Tuan (number 10213), Athlete Huynh Thi Diem (number 10042) for the 10km distance for men and women; Athlete Le Van Thao (number 21755), Le Thi Bich (number 21049) for the 21km distance for men and women.

At the same time, 5 second prizes and 5 third prizes were awarded to different age groups for the 21km distance; and 2nd to 10th prizes for the 10km and 5km distances were awarded to male and female athletes with high achievements.

Regarding the team prize, the Organizing Committee awarded the first team prize to Da Nang Runner Anta Club, the second team prize to Quang Tri Runner and Friends Club, and the third team prize to Thanh Hoa Runner Club.
