Highlights from new standard schools

In the first days of the 2025-2026 school year , teachers and students of Tan Bang Secondary and High School, Bien Bach Commune, happily received the decision to recognize the school as meeting national standards level 1. This is the result of close attention from provincial leaders, support from social organizations and the tireless efforts of the school.

Through the mobilization of Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai and Central Party Executive Committee member, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi, and the support from Chairman of the Founding Council of CITYLAND GROUP Bui Manh Hung, Thien Nhan Association ( Ho Chi Minh City) sponsored 20 billion VND. This fund was used to build 10 more classrooms, complete fences, roofs, stages, level the ground, repair 20 classrooms and add practice rooms and laboratory equipment.

Vice Principal Nguyen Thanh Cong shared: “Modern, spacious facilities are the motivation for us teachers and students to continue to innovate teaching methods, improve the quality of education , and meet the expectations of parents and students.”

Teacher Phan Thi Huynh Nhu expressed: "Teaching conditions have been significantly improved, helping teachers become more enthusiastic and creative in their work." Sharing the joy, Nguyen Thi Song Lam, a student of class 9A1, excitedly said: "I feel very happy to study in a standard school, with more practice rooms and laboratory equipment, making learning more convenient."

Changes from synchronous investment

Not only Tan Bang Secondary and High School , many other schools in Ca Mau have changed their appearance in recent times thanks to synchronous investment. A typical example is Ho Thi Ky A Primary School, Ho Thi Ky Commune. Established in 1992, the school once faced many difficulties in terms of facilities.

From 2022 to present, with a capital of more than 20 billion VND, the school has been built spaciously and modernly, including 18 classrooms, 15 functional rooms, fully equipped with teaching equipment, along with a system of gates, roofs, sports fields, toilets and parking lots for teachers and students.

Thanks to the guaranteed facilities, along with a team of 100% qualified and above-standard teachers, including many excellent teachers at the provincial level, the school has effectively organized educational activities. Ho Thi Ky A Primary School was just recognized as meeting national standards level II last June.

Principal Nguyen Thu Em affirmed: "The standard title is a motivation for the teaching staff to continue improving teaching quality, creating a friendly and modern learning environment, aiming for higher standards."

A solid foundation towards the 2030 target

According to data from the education and training sector, as of September 8, 2025, Ca Mau province had 629/731 schools meeting national standards, accounting for more than 86%. Notably, out of 25 non-public schools, 3 schools were also recognized as meeting national standards. Meeting standards not only demonstrates achievements in facilities but also reflects the comprehensive development of education. Each school that meets standards becomes a trusted address, where students can study in a modern, safe and healthy environment.

With the foundation that has been achieved, along with the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, the support of social organizations and the determination of the whole industry, the goal of achieving 90% of national standard schools by 2030 is completely feasible. This is a solid step for Ca Mau education to make an important contribution to the overall success of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, realizing the aspiration for sustainable development of the homeland.
