Vietnam - Singapore people-to-people exchange continues to develop

On the afternoon of August 31, the Vietnam - Singapore Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City (VSFA) held a ceremony to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2023); 50 years of Vietnam - Singapore friendship relations and 10 years of establishing the Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lam Dung Tien, Chairman of VSFA, affirmed that the friendly and cooperative relationship between the people of Vietnam and Singapore over the past 50 years has been built on the foundation of trust and mutual respect, and has been nurtured through regular exchanges between the people of the two countries. Currently, there are over tens of thousands of Vietnamese scholars, students, and workers living, studying, and working in Singapore...

In the first 7 months of 2023, there were more than 290,000 Vietnamese tourists traveling to Singapore and vice versa.
