Khanh Hoa teachers happy to receive year-end bonuses

Teachers in Khanh Hoa province are happy to receive year-end bonuses according to Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP stipulating basic salary and bonus regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces.

In a few days, the Lunar New Year 2025 will come, and in the days leading up to the New Year, many teachers share the same sentiment: The coming of the New Year brings more worries. Saying this, we understand the feelings of teachers who only live on their salaries and worry about not having enough money to spend for the three days of the New Year.

In previous years, at the end of the year, if some schools had any remaining expenses, they would give them to teachers as "Tet bonus" (savings money). Because they were given at the end of the year, teachers used to call it "Tet bonus". However, some schools had the savings money and some did not because it depended on the spending plan of the schools to see if there was any surplus or not, and there was no legal document requiring the spending of savings money. So at the end of the year, teachers were very "anxious" waiting for the savings money to have more spending money during the three days of Tet.

In Khanh Hoa province, this year's Tet bonus for teachers is implemented according to Decree 73/2024/ND-CP.

According to Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP stipulating the basic salary and bonus regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces, from July 1, 2024, cadres, civil servants and public employees will have their basic salary increased to VND 2,340,000/month, and will be supplemented with a bonus fund of 10% of the total salary fund (excluding allowances).

Many teachers believe that if this regulation is followed correctly, this year in addition to regular and occasional bonuses, teachers will receive an additional year-end bonus. The Tet bonus for teachers at the school is paid based on the results of the competition, with the titles: Advanced worker, grassroots competition fighter, ministry-level competition fighter, national competition fighter. This regulation ensures fairness, encourages continuous efforts and recognizes the dedication and contributions of teachers, motivating them to continue to promote a sense of responsibility and creativity in the education career.

Thus, from the 2024-2025 school year, all schools must implement a Tet bonus plan for teachers according to Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP. Currently, many schools in some localities are implementing a Tet bonus plan for teachers according to Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hue City...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, Phan Chu Trinh Secondary School (Dien Khanh, Khanh Hoa), shared: "This year, in addition to saving 6 million VND from the school, I also received 6.8 million VND (for excellent completion of the task) in accordance with Decree 73/2024/ND-CP".

It is known that the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Finance has approved the disbursement of 119 billion VND for bonuses according to Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP. This has greatly encouraged the spirit of state officials and civil servants, especially teachers, to have more motivation to improve teaching quality and complete their tasks excellently.
