Maple Leaf Foods CEO Michael McCain has denied the allegations, calling them baseless. McCain accused Grupo Bimbo of using the lawsuit to distract from its own mismanagement. Maple Leaf Foods has also sued Grupo Bimbo and Canada Bread for defamation, according to the Financial Post .
