Sketch a Rose at The Global City, Ho Chi Minh City on a grand scale

The first night of the Sketch a Rose concert started nearly 50 minutes late because many audience members could not enter the stage on time due to the near-total traffic jam in The Global City (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) - where Ha Anh Tuan's concert took place. The male singer said that many audience members had to abandon their cars and walk a long distance to attend the concert.
Not just a solo concert, Ha Anh Tuan "built" Sketch a Rose into an art space connecting artistic souls.

At around 8:50 p.m., the show began. Like other concerts, Ha Anh Tuan and his crew always leave an impression with surprising, overwhelming opening acts. Taking place in Ho Chi Minh City, where he was born and raised, in the atmosphere leading up to the big holidays, the male singer chose to mash-up 2 songs from 2 periods, including Starry City Night (Tran Long An) and I Still Wait for You at the Old Appointment ( Ho Tien Dat).
Then the program entered the main part, when, as the name suggests, romantic love songs were sent to the audience. Besides the familiar songs that made his name, the male singer also performed new songs from the album Sketch a Rose released in parallel with the concert night. With the new album, he "invested" in collaborating with many famous and very popular musicians in the Vietnamese music industry today. Familiar from previous concerts include Hoang Dung ( Ven Nguyen ), Tran Duy Khang - lead singer of the band Chillies - with Paradise, From the Ashes and Vu . ( We greet each other ).
Ha Anh Tuan excelled in the concert that gathered an orchestra with more than 150 artists, including the light band - Crystal Band, the symphony orchestra - Saigon Pops Orchestra, the Saigon Choir and the Cadillac backing group, under the direction of conductor Tran Nhat Minh and music director Nguyen Huu Vuong.

The singer of April is your lie also humorously "revealed" the behind-the-scenes stories of these songs. For example, Hoang Dung's song was once performed by the male singer/songwriter for Ha Anh Tuan, who planned to include it in his debut album. But because the song hadn't been released for so long, he mentioned it again and Hoang Dung eventually gave it back to him.
The concert also featured other songs from the album, including new compositions by Thanh Nghiep (Khach Tho ), Vu Cat Tuong ( Em ) and previously released songs, such as Dear, Memory in collaboration with Yiruma or Hoa Hong by Phan Manh Quynh. In particular, the song Em was planned to be used in Vu Cat Tuong's wedding but ended up "falling into the hands" of Ha Anh Tuan.

Besides these songs, Sketch A Rose surprised with "quality" guests. Representing the young generation, Quang Hung Master.D sang a duet of the hit " First Love Too Much Drink" with Ha Anh Tuan. This "older brother" later also "changed hits" to try his hand in "April is Your Lie" and "Spring". With his characteristic way of singing, the male singer was praised by his "senior" in Phan Manh Quynh's song.
Full of nostalgia, the audience had explosive moments with "big brother" Lam Truong with a series of hits " Anh sang doi toi" (Minh Chau), "Katy Katy" (Duc Tri). 2 joint songs including "Mua phi truong" (Viet Anh) and "Tinh thoi tho xa" (Bao Chan) were also sung by the audience.

The most special guest of the night was Yiruma. He appeared simply at the piano, impressing with two big hits loved by domestic audiences, River Flows in You and Kiss the Rain. Notably, Ha Anh Tuan also wrote Vietnamese lyrics for the latter song, bringing a new twist. In addition, the Korean pianist also performed two of his own songs, May Be and Reminiscent .
Just like the opening, Ha Anh Tuan ended the show with a surprise, when he mash-up the hits from his first album in collaboration with Phuong Linh - Hat Doi. There, the audience got to hear again the familiar songs Thien Duong Goi Ten, Yeu Em and Con Mua Tinh Yeu , which have become "national karaoke" songs.
Ha Anh Tuan always knows how to "turn" his "musical playground" into an unforgettable memory for those who accompany him.

With Sketch a Rose, the male singer brought impressive moments with love songs that have, are, and promise to leave an impression on fans. Because it is quite new, in general, the new songs still need time for the audience to get used to, while the more familiar songs and the guests did a great job of stirring up the stage, leaving beautiful memories.
