Hanoi starts many key projects

Of the 250 projects and works inaugurated and started simultaneously across the country this morning, Hanoi has 8 projects, accounting for about 4% in quantity but contributing nearly 20% of the total investment capital nationwide.

At 9:00 a.m. on August 19, groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for 250 projects and works took place across the country to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Of the total 250 projects and works inaugurated and commenced simultaneously across the country this morning, Hanoi has 8 projects, accounting for about 4% in quantity but contributing nearly 20% of the total investment capital nationwide.

This figure not only shows the large scale of investment, but also clearly affirms the role of the development locomotive and the economic - political center of the whole country.

Specifically, the Yen Xa Wastewater Treatment Plant project with an area of ​​13.8 hectares, a treatment capacity of 70,000 m3/day and night, and a total investment of VND 11,197 billion was inaugurated on this occasion.

Along with that, 7 projects have started construction, including: Investment project to build the route connecting Gia Binh airport to the capital (section in Hanoi). The route is 14km long, 120m wide, with a total investment of 42,000 billion VND.

Component 3 of the Ring Road 4 Construction Investment Project - Capital Region (public investment sub-project, Hong Ha Bridge, Me So). The project has a total length of about 113.52km (including 103.82km of the main route and 9.7km of the connecting section towards Noi Bai - Ha Long Expressway), designed according to expressway standards, with a design speed of 100km/h.

The current phase is investing in 4 lanes with a 17m wide roadbed and a 7.5m wide bridge (the bridges over the Red River and Duong River are 24.5m wide). The phase of completing the scale of 6 complete expressway lanes (to be implemented later); investing in the construction of 8 complete interchanges (5 in Hanoi, 2 in Hung Yen province and 1 in Bac Ninh province); completing the Southwest interchange (in Bac Ninh province); investing in the construction of 7 on-off branches connecting with the parallel roads on both sides and other auxiliary works. The total investment of the project is 56,293 billion VND.

Project to build Van Phuc bridge and connecting road to National Highway 32 (Phuc Tho commune, Hanoi) with total length of 7.77km designed to standard level 3 plain road, design speed of 80km/h.

Component 3 of the Ngoc Hoi Bridge Construction Investment Project and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge. Total length is about 7.5km, of which Hanoi city is about 5.2km, Hung Yen province is about 2.3km.

The starting point connects with the end point of Ring Road 3.5, Phuc La - Van Phu section to Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway, the end point Km7+500 connects with Ring Road 3.5.

The main bridge over the Red River is about 680m long, 32.3m wide, ensuring 6 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for mixed vehicles; the approach bridge is about 6.58km long, 33m wide; synchronous construction of technical infrastructure, lighting, intelligent traffic system, traffic organization... Total investment of the project is 10,197 billion VND.

In addition, in Hanoi, the following projects have also started: Construction of a resettlement area (Dong Anh commune) under the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway investment project with a scale of 6 hectares; Construction of a resettlement area (Ngoc Hoi commune) under the North - South high-speed railway construction project with a scale of 0.92 hectares; Smart City project (Vinh Thanh commune) with a land use area of ​​271.45 hectares, divided into 5 implementation phases.

All of Hanoi's projects are implemented under the strong and close direction of the City's leaders, especially the Chairman of the City People's Committee, who regularly directs and inspects progress, removes difficulties, and requires departments, branches, and localities to focus highly, ensuring quality and construction progress.

With that determination, Hanoi has promptly commenced and inaugurated key projects on time, considering them as public works, practically serving people's lives, and at the same time as important and practical political actions to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
