Hai Duong launched a peak emulation campaign to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army from September 25.

Representatives of the Provincial Military Command, Hai Duong City Military Command and sponsors presented gratitude houses to relatives of martyrs in Hai Tan ward (Hai Duong city).

According to the plan recently issued by the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, the emulation campaign to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024) has the theme "Promoting the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army, continuing the feats, creating momentum to promote and develop the socio- economy , national defense and security in Hai Duong province more and more sustainably".

The Provincial People's Committee requires emulation activities to be widely deployed from the province to the grassroots with rich, practical and effective contents and forms. Agencies, units and localities must promptly commend, honor, reward and replicate collectives and individuals who actively participate and have many achievements in commemorative activities...

The content of the emulation campaign is to launch a practical and effective emulation movement associated with promoting the patriotic movement, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, successfully achieving the goals of economic, social, national defense and security development. To widely propagate to cadres, party members and all classes of people about patriotism, national pride, revolutionary struggle history, and the spirit of determination to fight and win of the people's army. To organize activities to honor and exchange with historical witnesses, thematic activities, introduce historical traditions to the younger generation and propagate about typical examples, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces. To promote activities of "repaying gratitude", "remembering the source of drinking water", social security work. To select, foster, discover and promote propaganda of typical advanced examples, good people, good deeds, good and creative ways in performing local defense and military tasks...

At the end of the celebration activities, agencies, units and localities evaluate, review, commend and propose rewards for outstanding and typical collectives and individuals...

The competition is held from September 25 to December 22.
