NDO - Last weekend, thousands of people visited and experienced interesting activities at the Hanoi Flag Tower Interactive Exhibition. The exhibition was organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

Last weekend, thousands of people continued to visit the Hanoi Flag Tower interactive exhibition organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

The normally quiet campus of Nhan Dan Newspaper's office at 71 Hang Trong, Hanoi, has suddenly become bustling in recent days as people of all ages, from home and abroad, from urban to rural areas, especially many young people, line up to see the exhibition.

Coming to the Exhibition, visitors will experience cutting and assembling a model of the Hanoi flagpole from the supplement of Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Readers can cut and paste the printed newspaper page into a model of the Hanoi Flag Tower and interact with the model through 3 QR codes. Each QR code will provide extended content and lead to other interesting projects in the Nhan Dan Newspaper ecosystem.

“I really enjoyed cutting, assembling and completing this model with my friends. This was an interesting activity, helping us understand and become closer to each other. I hope there will be more interesting and fun activities like this in the future!”

The Hanoi Flagpole model was completed by students of Thai Thinh Secondary School (Dong Da, Hanoi).

In particular, coming to the Exhibition, all visitors were eager to experience mixed reality technology to learn more about Hanoi with memorable historical milestones.

Visitors will have the opportunity to join the army marching to Hanoi through the support of technology; thereby directly experiencing 10 important milestones in the process of liberating and taking over the Capital in October 1954.

Tourists who love technology can use augmented reality (AR) glasses to view 3D images of Hanoi. Using a device integrated with 2 50Mp cameras, the Organizing Committee has captured and recorded 3D videos in high resolution of many locations in the capital such as Hoan Kiem Lake, Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda, Hanoi Flag Tower, Long Bien Bridge, Opera House, 5 gates of Hanoi... Users have the opportunity to experience these images in 3D space, just like viewing real-life landscapes with the naked eye.

According to many people, the Hanoi Flagpole Interactive Exhibition organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper has brought the public, especially young people , a new and attractive way to approach history .

Notably, the "heat" of the Exhibition did not stop at the grounds of Nhan Dan Newspaper. Many schools in Hanoi also brought the daily supplement of Nhan Dan Newspaper published on October 10 for students to experience cutting and pasting a model of the Flagpole.

At Thai Thinh Secondary School, the above activities are integrated into subjects such as History, Fine Arts, Local Studies... to increase interest, and at the same time help students understand and love more Hanoi - the city they are living and attached to.

According to quick statistics, after 5 days of organization, Hanoi Flag Tower Interactive Exhibition has attracted tens of thousands of visitors to visit and experience.

According to comrade Le Quoc Minh, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), Nhan Dan Newspaper organized a special information session with elaborate, methodical, and thorough preparation for nearly half a year, with many meaningful contents as well as practical and creative activities.
