The Politburo has just issued Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on educational and training breakthroughs (Resolution 71), which clearly states the policy of ensuring the provision of a unified set of textbooks nationwide and striving to provide free textbooks to all students by 2030.
Many teachers and education experts consider this a great task, one that is unified and consistent. The Politburo's decision to adopt a unified set of textbooks nationwide is completely correct and requires the joint efforts of the entire education sector.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang - a primary school teacher in Di An ward (HCMC), shared: "Resolution 71 was issued to achieve a good and extremely great goal. The plan for a unified set of textbooks nationwide will help teachers like us feel secure in our work."
From a parent's perspective, Mr. Bui Van Giap (residing in Tan Dong Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City) excitedly expressed: "I myself am very happy to read Resolution 71 about the issue of unifying a set of textbooks and providing free textbooks. This is both convenient and creates a comfortable psychological momentum for teachers and students, so they can focus on teaching and learning."
Another important highlight in the Resolution is the goal of providing free textbooks to all students by 2030.
According to many teachers and parents at Doan Thi Diem Primary School (Dong Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), many opinions agree that this policy has profound humanistic meaning, demonstrating the determination to realize the policies of the Party and State, turning slogans into concrete actions for the sustainable development of the country.
This contributes to strengthening people's confidence, arousing the spirit of unity and joining hands to build an increasingly prosperous country.

In fact, the situation of children having to drop out of school due to difficult family circumstances and not being able to buy textbooks still occurs. Therefore, providing free books is a fundamental step to ensure fairness and equality in access to knowledge for all children, regardless of family circumstances.
This policy not only demonstrates the special concern of the Party and the State for the future generations of the country, but also meets the aspirations of the majority of people, especially families with difficult economic circumstances, families in remote areas. For them, the annual expenditure on textbooks is a considerable burden.
The exemption of textbooks continues to affirm the correctness and determination of Resolution 71 in comprehensively caring for the education cause. This is a step that continues and is consistent with the tuition exemption policy that has been implemented at the general education level, aiming at the goal of not leaving any school-age child behind due to material barriers.
