The Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (VINAFRUIT) has just released urgent information, expressing strong opposition to the situation where some subjects have taken advantage of fraud and illegally copied durian growing area codes and durian packing facility codes.

This fraud takes place through the form of authorization contracts using codes with fake seals and signatures, homemade... to defraud businesses. From there, they bypass the authorities to profit and clear customs for export to the Chinese market.

According to the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, this serious violation not only directly affects the reputation of the Vietnamese durian industry, but also causes a loss of confidence among Chinese and international consumers.

This situation also causes great damage to the interests of genuine durian producers and businesses.

Authorities of importing countries may tighten control over Vietnamese durian, affecting the export activities of businesses due to the code being revoked by China for violating quality regulations.

At the same time, fraudulent behavior creates unfair competition in the market, causing damage to durian production and trading businesses that comply with regulations.

Therefore, the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association expressed its hope that the authorities would strengthen inspection, supervision, and close review of durian packaging and export facilities, and strictly handle violations.

Building a code database: Completing the database of growing area codes and packaging facility codes, making it easy to manage and trace product origins.

At the same time, it is necessary to publicize the list of qualified durian production and packaging facilities to help consumers choose reliable products.

Enterprises that have violated the illegal copying of codes to export durian will be subject to penalties.

At the same time, the association recommends that authorities strengthen cooperation with authorities of importing countries to jointly combat commercial fraud.

The Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association also called on businesses and durian producers to join hands to protect the reputation of the industry and strictly comply with legal regulations.
