The project is implemented within the framework of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction 2025, under Project 2: Diversifying livelihoods, developing poverty reduction models with a total budget of more than 3.74 billion VND, of which the State budget supports 3 billion VND and the rest is contributed by participating households.

Immediately after approval, the Institute for Cooperative Economic Development closely coordinated with local authorities and relevant units to conduct field surveys, select participating households and develop detailed plans. As a result, 61 selected households all met the program's criteria, had confirmation from local authorities and were cultivating or wishing to cultivate medicinal plants.

Households participating in the project were trained in organic planting and care techniques for medicinal plants, including: the process of planting angelica and ginseng, pest control techniques using biological products and the production-consumption linkage process. The project also supported many essential materials to help people have the initial production conditions such as: organic fertilizers; soil treatment products; biological products; seedlings.

The area of the model is 33 hectares, including 1 hectare of Nam mountain ginseng and 32 hectares of angelica. The project not only helps increase income but also creates regular jobs, improves living standards, and contributes to the goal of sustainable poverty reduction.

The successful acceptance and handover of the project has affirmed its clear effectiveness in developing the economy of highland farmers, promoting the potential of indigenous medicinal plants and opening up market access opportunities for local products.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung - Deputy Director of the Institute for Cooperative Economic Development affirmed: In the coming time, the Institute for Cooperative Economic Development will continue to accompany people in linking production according to the value chain, building the brand of medicinal products of Sin Ho commune; coordinate with enterprises and cooperatives to ensure stable output, expand the area, improve the quality of products meeting VietGAP, GlobalGAP, and organic standards; bring Sin Ho medicinal products to participate in the supply chain, e-commerce platforms, and exhibitions organized by the Cooperative Union to improve competitiveness and increase economic value.
