Pitchamon, Thailand's 18-year-old badminton star, continued his impressive form as he entered the 2025 Hong Kong Open qualifiers.

Two days ago, Pitchamon created a stir when he defeated a series of Chinese players to win the Baoji China Masters 2025. This was also the second BWF World Tour title in the career of this "badminton prodigy".

Through this championship, Pitchamon also made a leap in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings. Specifically, she climbed from 49th to 40th in the world rankings, and to 36th in the World Tour.

However, that achievement was not enough for Pitchamon to officially win a ticket to the Hong Kong Open, one of the top badminton tournaments.

In the qualifying round, she faced Taiwanese opponent Tung Ciou-Tong, ranked 54th in the world.

Pitchamon only had difficulty in the first game when she won 21-19. In the second game she won easily 21-13.

This victory helped Pitchamon officially qualify for the Hong Kong Open - a memorable milestone in the 18-year-old girl's career.

However, Pitchamon's chances of going far are quite slim, because she has to face her senior Chochuwong right in the first round. Chochuwong is currently ranked 6th in the world and is at her peak.

At only 18 years old, Pitchamon is expected to follow in the footsteps of famous seniors like Intanon and Chochuwong to join the world's top 10. Besides her talent, Pitchamon is also creating a fever in the badminton world because of her beautiful, innocent appearance.
