Activities responding to March Border Month of Hai Phong youth

On March 17, Hai Phong youth coordinated with many units to organize the program "March Border Month", launched "Peak Day of building new rural areas, model rural areas" with many meaningful and charitable activities... to support families in difficult circumstances.

On March 17, Hai Phong City Youth Union organized the program "March Border Month", launched "Peak Day of joining hands to build new rural areas, model rural areas", in Cat Hai and Tien Lang districts on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Youth Month 2024 and the 65th anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day, 35th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day.

At Quang Vinh Border Guard Station (Tien Lang District), Hai Phong City Youth Union organized the program "March Border Month". At the program, Hai Phong City Youth Union presented an administrative map of Vietnam in response to the campaign "Pride of a strip of land and rivers" to Quang Vinh Border Guard Station.

At the same time, 10 gifts and 6 scholarships "helping children go to school" were given to children of officers and soldiers and 200 seedlings (worth 20 million VND) were given to Quang Vinh Border Guard Station.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Deputy Secretary of Hai Phong City Youth Union presented a plaque to support funding for the construction of "House of Love" in Tien Lang district.

Also at the People's Committee of Quang Vinh commune (Tien Lang district), Hai Phong City Youth Union held the launching ceremony of "Peak day of joining hands to build new rural areas, model new rural areas".

At the program, the youth union members mobilized funds and resources to support the construction of new rural areas with a total of nearly 100 million VND. Of which, they supported the construction of 01 charity house (50 million VND); donated funds for the construction of new rural areas (6 million VND); donated 3,000 student notebooks (21 million VND); organized medical examination and treatment, and provided free medicine to people in difficult circumstances and policy families in the area.

Also on March 17, Hai Phong City Youth Union coordinated with the Ministry of Transport and Vietnam Maritime Administration to organize a tree planting program in response to the program "For a green Vietnam".

At the program, Hai Phong City Youth Union mobilized resources to donate funds to build 2 "Charity Houses" for two families in difficult circumstances, with victims of traffic accidents in Dong Bai commune (Cat Hai district) with a total cost of more than 100 million VND.

On this occasion, delegates participated in planting more than 10,000 trees at Nam Trieu Stream Management Station (Cat Hai district) to join hands and contribute the city's youth to the work of restoring upstream forests, developing trees, protecting the environment, and responding to climate change.

Representatives of the Ministry of Transport and the Vietnam Register presented symbolic plaques to support the construction of "Houses of Love" to two families in Dong Bai commune (Cat Hai district) with traffic accident victims.

On the same day, youth union members of districts simultaneously organized activities to launch new rural construction, typically: drops of love, let's clean the sea; support the construction of red scarf houses, charity houses, building playgrounds for children, free medical examination and medicine for people;... with a total resource of nearly 900 million VND.

The program “March Border Month”, launching “Peak Day of joining hands to build new rural areas, model rural areas” is a meaningful activity to foster revolutionary ideals for young people. At the same time, promoting the spirit of volunteerism , mutual love, creating conditions for households in difficult circumstances to rise up from poverty and stabilize their lives.
