On April 1, Ernst Thalmann High School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) organized a 10th grade admissions consultation day with the participation of more than 550 9th grade students from secondary schools in District 1.

At the festival, the students of Ernst Thalmann High School welcomed 9th graders with a series of fun activities such as dance sport performances, martial arts, basketball, singing...

In addition, the school also organized more than 10 booths representing talent clubs and academic clubs for 9th grade students to participate in experiences.

Speaking at the festival, Mr. Nguyen Hung Khuong, principal of Ernst Thalmann School, gave a general introduction about the school's facilities and development orientation.

Mr. Khuong said: "100% of classrooms at Ernst Thalmann School have their own wifi to make it easier for students to find information for their studies. 100% of the dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, and each student has their own pillow and mat.

Notably, in the first semester of the 2023-2024 school year, Ernst Thalmann School students won 84 medals at sports competitions at all levels. Thus, students who love sports can choose Ernst Thalmann School as a place to develop their talents."

Mr. Khuong also informed: "In the near future, Ernst Thalmann School will send 20 students to Taiwan for cultural exchange. The school plans to organize exchanges with students in Japan, Korea, the US, Canada, etc. in the following years."

Ernst Thalmann School organizes elective teaching in an "open" way

According to Mr. Tran Hai Binh, vice principal of Ernst Thalmann School, from the 2024-2025 school year, the school will organize teaching of elective subjects in an "open" direction.

Instead of 10th grade students choosing a subject combination like before, now it will change. Each student will be able to choose 2-3 subjects according to their aptitude and interests. The school will directly advise each student on the remaining 1-2 subjects to choose.

It is known that Ernst Thalmann High School is a public high school in Ho Chi Minh City. In recent years, not only private schools but many public high schools have also proactively organized 10th grade admission counseling to improve input quality.
