Hanoi has 43 new schools before the opening day

(Dan Tri) - 43 newly built schools in Hanoi are mostly concentrated at preschool, primary and secondary levels.

According to information from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, in the 2025-2026 school year, the city is expected to have 43 new schools welcoming students, including 27 public schools and 16 private schools.

The schools are most concentrated in the old Hoang Mai district with 10 schools. This is also a "hot" area for primary school enrollment in recent years. The old Bac Tu Liem district has 7 schools, the old Ha Dong district has 5 schools, the old Cau Giay district has 4 schools. The remaining areas have 1-2 schools.

Nearly 40% of the newly built schools are kindergartens (17 schools). The rest are 13 primary schools, 10 secondary schools and 3 high schools.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi will have more than 2.3 million preschool and primary school students, an increase of about 60,000 compared to the 2024-2025 school year. The city currently has nearly 3,000 schools.
