As for the code of conduct for performing public duties and tasks, there are regulations on what civil servants and public employees must do, such as respecting and wholeheartedly serving the people; being clearly aware of their own responsibilities and duties, being ready to accept and strive to complete all assigned tasks well; respecting, listening, wholeheartedly guiding on work procedures and clearly explaining questions from organizations and citizens; implementing "4 pleases, 4 alwayss" including greeting, apologizing, thanking, asking permission and always smiling, always gentle, always listening, always helping.
In addition, Hoi An City People's Committee also specifically regulates communication rules of civil servants and public employees at the one-stop department; behavior of civil servants and public employees receiving and handling administrative procedures; behavior of the head of the one-stop department; behavior of tour guides or other service staff.
The promulgation of the code of conduct aims to build a standard working style and manner of conduct for the staff, ensuring professionalism, integrity, responsibility, dynamism, transparency and efficiency in performing tasks and public services, meeting the requirements of serving the people and society; building a service-oriented, transparent and effective administration.
