Provincial Red Cross Society gives support to families in difficult circumstances

BAC NINH - On August 19, the Bac Ninh Provincial Red Cross in collaboration with Dan Tri Newspaper organized a support ceremony for families in particularly difficult circumstances in the province. Also participating were representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, businesses and philanthropists.

The delegation visited, encouraged and provided support to 3 families with especially difficult circumstances and provided regular support to 15 families; poor students who have overcome difficulties with a total of nearly 700 million VND and many practical gifts. This amount was donated by readers of Dan Tri Newspaper, the Provincial Red Cross in coordination with benefactors to support families to cover their living expenses and have more funds for medical treatment.

Delegates presented more than 324 million VND in support to La Nhat Hoa's family.

La Nhat Hoa (5 years old, Son Dong commune, Bac Ninh ) has congenital hemolytic anemia and has had to have continuous blood transfusions since childhood to sustain his life. His family's circumstances are difficult, his parents' income is not enough to cover the cost of treatment after the first unsuccessful bone marrow transplant. His family received support of more than 323 million VND, helping him have more money for treatment and continue his journey to regain his life.

Delegates presented nearly 186 million VND in support to Le Anh Tuan's family.

Having lost his mother since early 2025, Le Tuan Anh (born in 2014, Tien Luc commune, Bac Ninh) is currently living with his grandmother in a charity house, life is extremely difficult. Mrs. Tran Thi Vien (74 years old) is his only support and is suffering from many serious illnesses such as heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cirrhosis with ascites... Her health is increasingly deteriorating, her body is thin, her belly is distended, and she is no longer able to work. The family received nearly 186 million VND in support.

Delegates presented more than 140 million VND in support to Ms. Bui Thi Luyen's family.

Ms. Bui Thi Luyen (born in 1977, Tien Luc commune, Bac Ninh) has stage 3 breast cancer and has to borrow money for treatment. Her mother, the main breadwinner, now has severe dementia and cannot take care of herself. The mother and daughter live on disability benefits, only enough to eat vegetables and rice every day. The amount of nearly 140 million VND is not only a source of material support, but also a flame of hope, giving Ms. Luyen more motivation to continue her journey of living and taking care of her sick elderly mother.

Representatives of the Provincial Red Cross Society gave regular support to families in especially difficult circumstances and scholarships to students who overcame difficulties to study well.

Also on this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross Society provided regular support funds to 15 households in particularly difficult circumstances, ranging from 500,000 to 1 million VND/household. At the same time, 28 scholarships, each worth 2 million VND, were awarded to poor students who have overcome difficulties.

This activity is part of a series of regular humanitarian programs, responding to the campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address", demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love and support" and the community's responsibility towards people in difficult circumstances, adding motivation for households to strive to stabilize their lives.
