Provincial Veterans Association deploys tasks for 2025

On the morning of December 12, in Ha Long City, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Veterans Association, term VII, 2022-2027, held the 7th conference to summarize the association's work in 2024 and deploy directions and tasks for 2025 .

Attending the event were comrades: Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, President of the Vietnam Veterans Association; Le Thi Kim Cuc, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission.

The Quang Ninh Provincial Veterans Association currently has a total of nearly 55,700 members, operating at 263 grassroots associations, 1,802 branches in communes, wards and block 487 in the whole province. In 2024, closely following the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association and the working theme of the province is "Improving the quality of economic growth; developing culture and people rich in Quang Ninh identity", the Provincial Veterans Association has proactively overcome difficulties, implemented tasks with a high sense of responsibility in all levels of the association from the province to the grassroots, recognized and highly appreciated by the Party Committee, government and people in the province. The focus is on the emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans" being promoted, associated with political tasks on socio-economic development in the locality and the task of protecting the Party, government and people of the Veterans Association.

Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, President of the Vietnam Veterans Association, delivered a speech at the conference.

During the year, the Association at all levels proactively advised local Party committees, coordinated to participate in building and protecting the Party, the State, and the people. At the same time, it effectively participated in emulation movements to enthusiastically develop the socio-economic situation in residential areas in association with environmental protection; and well implemented social security policies related to the Association of War Veterans.

After listening to the opinions and discussions, the Provincial Veterans Association launched and signed the emulation commitment for 2025. The key contents were identified as: Strengthening the fight to protect the Party's ideological foundation, refuting wrong and hostile views; uniting and protecting the legitimate rights of members and cadres, educating the younger generation on traditions. In particular, implementing the contents of the Veterans Association's activities, emulation movements associated with welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels and important anniversaries taking place in 2025 such as: 95th anniversary of the Party's founding, 80th anniversary of the first National Assembly General Election, 50th anniversary of the Great Spring Victory of 1975, 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2...

Outstanding collectives received the Emulation Flag of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association.

Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that the Quang Ninh Provincial Veterans Association at all levels had achieved in 2024. In particular, he acknowledged the coordination model between the Provincial Veterans Association and the Veterans Enterprise Association as a typical model nationwide. He suggested that the Provincial Veterans Association should continue to build a strong Veterans Association in terms of politics and ideology in the new period; promote the exemplary role of cadres and members at all levels, actively participate in movements and campaigns organized by the Central and local levels; do a good job of caring for and fostering patriotism, educating history and revolutionary traditions for the younger generation...

Outstanding collectives and individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Veterans Association of Quang Ninh province.

At the conference, the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association awarded 4 Emulation Flags, 7 Certificates of Merit and the Provincial Executive Committee of the Veterans Association awarded 6 Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals of Quang Ninh with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans" in 2024.
