Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Lam Dong province strengthens connection with Champasak, Bolykhamxay

At the reception of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Lam Dong province, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam highly appreciated the Association's role as a bridge in promoting cooperation between Lam Dong and Champasak and Bolykhamxay, and at the same time requested the Association to continue advising the province to effectively implement cooperation programs and projects, contributing to strengthening the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

On September 12 in Vientiane, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam received a delegation of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Lam Dong province led by Mr. Nguyen Ban, Chairman of the Association, who visited the Embassy.

According to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ban informed the Ambassador about the situation in Lam Dong province after the merger, as well as the results of cooperation between the Association and Champasak and Bolykhamxay provinces. He emphasized that the working trip was of great significance, demonstrating the Association's determination to maintain and promote friendly relations with Lao localities. On this occasion, the delegation presented computers and scholarships to students of Champasak - Lam Dong Gifted High School and Bolykhamxay Provincial High School.

Mr. Nguyen Ban expressed his gratitude for the Embassy's attention, support and bridging role in promoting the friendly and solidarity relations between Lam Dong and Lao provinces in recent times.

Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam informed the delegation about the situation in Laos, Vietnam - Laos cooperation in the fields of politics , defense, security, economy, culture - education, community, and outstanding activities of the Embassy from the beginning of 2025 to present.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the performance of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Lam Dong province, affirming that the Association is an important bridge in promoting cooperation between Lam Dong with Champasak and Bolykhamxay. The Ambassador suggested that the Association continue to advise the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to effectively implement programs, projects and cooperation agreements, thereby contributing to consolidating and fostering the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
