Over the past time, the Association's organizational structure has been gradually consolidated and improved. Currently, the Association has a total of 62 members. The Association and its members have actively coordinated with provincial departments, branches and sectors to prepare and successfully organize many tourism promotion activities; contributing to attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to Dien Bien.
At the conference, members listened to a number of draft documents related to the preparation for the organization of the 2nd Provincial Tourism Association Congress, term 2024 - 2029, expected to be held in November 2024. Members gave their opinions to agree on the composition, number of invited delegates, implementation content, organization budget...; unanimously approved the Personnel Plan for the Executive Board, Standing Board and Inspection Board of the Provincial Tourism Association for the term 2024 - 2029 to complete the dossier to submit to the competent authority as prescribed.
Comrade Nguyen Minh Phu, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Chairman of the Association, pointed out the advantages and difficulties in the association's activities in the past time. In order to build a truly strong, dynamic and creative Association in its activities, the Chairman of the Association requested the Association's members to focus on specific tasks such as: Promoting propaganda and mobilization activities, improving the effectiveness of the Association's activities; promoting the development of new members; members actively supporting, exchanging experiences, strengthening connections, sharing experiences, coordinating to build, exploit and develop typical tourism products of the province. Building and developing the Association's financial resources; actively proposing mechanisms, policies and solutions to support members' business activities; participating in training courses to improve the quality of human resources in the tourism sector.
