8th Central Conference, 13th term: Electing additional comrade Le Hoai Trung to hold the position of member of the Secretariat

On October 6, the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee entered its fifth working day.

Morning: The Party Central Committee worked at the Hall to discuss the Summary of 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW, dated August 6, 2008 of the 10th Party Central Committee on building a team of intellectuals in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country.

Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission, chaired the discussion on behalf of the Politburo.

The Party Central Committee elected additional comrade Le Hoai Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission, to hold the position of member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, term XIII; elected additional members of the Party Central Committee's Inspection Commission, term XIII, including comrades: Dao The Hoang, Director of the Department of Localities VI, Central Inspection Commission; Le Nguyen Nam Ninh, Director of the Department of Research, Central Inspection Commission; and Major General Vu Hong Van, Director of the Department of Internal Political Security, Ministry of Public Security .

Afternoon: The Party Central Committee worked in groups, discussing the Summary of 20 years of implementing Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW, dated March 12, 2003 of the 9th Party Central Committee on promoting the strength of great national unity for a rich people, a strong country, and a fair, democratic and civilized society.
