Enhancing digital transformation capacity in education

The training took place from August 15 to August 28, with 7 topics, attracting the participation of more than 20,000 teachers nationwide. The training sessions revolved around two main groups of topics: Analysis of Math exam questions (10th grade admission and high school graduation in 2025) and Digital transformation in teaching and education management, associated with new trends such as STEM and AI.

The online training program "Improving capacity for digital transformation in education" is organized by the OLM digital education platform with the goal of contributing to supporting schools and teachers to effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program, while improving capacity for digital transformation in education and building the second session education plan, developing scientific research and technological innovation capabilities for students.

Not only stopping at introducing an overview of digital transformation tools, each training session also focuses on improving teachers' practical capacity. The training method harmoniously combines theory and practice, helping teachers grasp quickly, understand deeply and apply immediately to teaching and management work.

One of the key contents of the training program is "Digital transformation in teaching and learning on the OLM Digital Education platform", helping teachers access and effectively exploit modern digital tools.

First, teachers were given an overview of the OLM platform, thereby having a clear view of the technology ecosystem supporting teaching. Next, the training session focused on exploring outstanding features such as: A rich digital learning materials system, online assignment tools and detailed learning outcome statistics, helping teachers closely monitor students' learning progress. In particular, the part on creating learning materials received a lot of attention, when teachers were guided to practice creating interactive videos, building tests and practice exercises in multiple choice format according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training along with essay format.

“What I appreciate most after the training session is that OLM provides a comprehensive educational ecosystem. With a smart question bank, a diverse learning material library and the personal assignment feature, I can easily assign advanced lessons to good students and reinforce lessons to slow students. This is really the key to both supporting students to improve their learning and significantly reducing the workload for teachers,” shared Ms. Vu Thi Kim Ngan - Yen Nguyen Primary School (Tuyen Quang).

Mr. Nguyen Danh Diep - Dom Cang Primary and Secondary School (Son La) said: "Through OLM training sessions, it has helped spread and create positive effects among the teaching staff, thereby helping each teacher to change and adapt to the application of online platforms and digital transformation tools in management and teaching work.

What I found most useful was the detailed instructions on how to apply OLM in building and arranging a convenient timetable. The direct instructions and specific illustrative situations helped me grasp the concept easily and I can immediately apply it to my work in the next school year."

Building a STEM lesson plan according to the 2018 General Education Program

Another important content of the training session is the topic "Building a STEM lesson plan according to the 2018 General Education Program", to help teachers better understand the trends and methods of effectively implementing STEM. Teachers were introduced to the program framework and orientation of STEM education according to the 2018 General Education Program, thereby clearly understanding the role and requirements to achieve. The next content focuses on exploiting and using technology in STEM education, helping teachers apply software and digital tools to increase experience and interaction in the teaching and learning process.

Teachers also get to explore a number of STEM topics in specific subjects, from Mathematics, Natural Sciences to Technology, making integration more accessible and feasible. Finally, the program emphasizes the skills of building STEM education plans in schools, helping the school board and professional teams have a clear roadmap, suitable for practical conditions.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - Phu Tien Primary School (Thai Nguyen) said: "The content about STEM and AI has given me many ideas to organize science and technology experience activities in class, stimulating creativity and interest in learning for students. This is a practical luggage for me to improve the quality of teaching in the coming time. In particular, the guidance on building a STEM education plan in schools is very practical, helping us to no longer be vague but have a clear direction to implement in specific steps, suitable for the actual conditions of the classroom and school".

Teachers participating in the training highly appreciated the practicality of the program, which has brought benefits to education, from digitizing records, automatic exam grading, optimizing learning management to increasing interaction in the classroom.

Along with the advantages, OLM experts also pointed out some weaknesses and challenges that many schools and teachers are facing when applying digital transformation such as: lack of synchronization in data management between departments; limited digital skills of a part of teachers, causing slow technology deployment, limited resources for infrastructure and equipment investment.

To overcome this, OLM experts have suggested many practical solutions. “Digital transformation in education is not a race in technology, but a journey to change thinking and management methods. Schools can start with small steps such as digitizing student records, applying online classroom management tools, then gradually expanding, regularly organizing training to improve teacher capacity. The most important thing is the consensus from the school board to teachers, so that digital transformation can truly go into depth and be sustainable”, Mr. Ha Duc Tho - Director of Education Science and Technology Joint Stock Company (owner of the OLM ecosystem) emphasized.

Closing the training series, OLM introduced the education management system and rich digital learning materials warehouse developed by itself with learning materials according to the 2018 General Education Program standards; a system of question banks, diverse test matrices; convenient classroom management tools, student assessment and parent connection. These resources are specifically designed to support schools and teachers in implementing effective digital transformation, gradually building a digital education environment.

With more than 20,000 teachers participating, the training series "Improving capacity for digital transformation in education" has affirmed its practicality and widespread reach. In the coming time, OLM commits to continue to accompany the Departments of Education and Training, schools and teachers across the country to replicate digital transformation solutions. This will be a strategic step to help teachers innovate teaching methods, students learn creatively, together towards a modern, flexible and comprehensive education.

OLM is an integrated platform for teaching, learning, education management and quality digital science resources, applying modern technology to bring about breakthrough changes in education.

For schools: Comprehensive management of teaching and learning processes, from student records, digital learning materials to large-scale automated testing and assessment.

For teachers: Provides teaching management tools (assigning assignments, grading, creating exams, question banks) and learning materials (self-created learning materials and OLM learning materials), along with detailed reports on student learning outcomes.

Students: Self-study proactively with a rich system of lectures, exercises and a test bank that closely follows the program of the Ministry of Education and Training. Students can practice, take tests, participate in the Q&A community and weekly knowledge competitions.
