More than 200 documents, images, artifacts, and exhibits are divided into two parts. Part I: "Ba Dinh shines in autumn", introduces Uncle Ho's journey to find a way to save the country, the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1930, which led to the victory of the August Revolution in 1945 and the event of President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the first people's democratic state in Southeast Asia.

Part II: “From the autumn of independence to the spring of renovation”, depicts the nation’s 80-year historical journey: maintaining revolutionary achievements, winning victories in resistance wars against colonialism and imperialism, and protecting borders and islands; and marking the historical turning point from the 6th Congress in 1986 with the renovation policy. Over the past 40 years, the country has transformed strongly in all fields, creating an increasingly high position in the international arena.

The highlight of the exhibition is many valuable documents published for the first time, including a copy of Nguyen Ai Quoc's identity card issued in 1919 in France, or his photographer's business card. These artifacts help the public visualize more clearly the vibrant, persistent and difficult revolutionary life of President Ho Chi Minh .

According to the organizers, the theme "Independence Autumn" not only recreates the heroic milestones of the nation, but also contributes to strengthening the spirit of patriotism, self-reliance and self-strengthening; encouraging the entire Party, people and army to continue competing to achieve many achievements, towards the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Dr. Vu Manh Ha, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, emphasized: "The exhibition contributes to recreating the aspiration for independence and freedom, while at the same time arousing the pride and responsibility of today's generations in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland."

The exhibition will be open to the public from August 25 to December 25 at the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Hanoi .
