More than 240 domestic and foreign units and enterprises participate in the International Defense Exhibition

On the morning of December 19, the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 officially opened at Gia Lam Airport ( Hanoi ). At the Exhibition, more than 240 domestic and foreign units and enterprises participated in the exhibition.

According to information from the Ministry of National Defense, since its first organization in 2022, the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition has attracted a large number of domestic and foreign defense agencies and enterprises to participate, introducing the latest products and technologies applied to defense and security. This year, the exhibition area has a total area of ​​over 100,000 m2 with an indoor display area of ​​15,000 m2, double that of 2022 and an outdoor area of ​​over 20,000 m2. The exhibition has the participation of 66 international delegations and more than 240 defense industry enterprises from 49 countries.

Enterprises participated in the exhibition, introducing combat vehicles, technological solutions, weapons, equipment used for the navy, army, air force, cyber warfare and logistics and technical equipment. Many Vietnamese products displayed and introduced at the exhibition were researched and manufactured by agencies and units of the Ministry of National Defense, such as: General Department of Defense Industry, Air Defense - Air Force, Navy, Military Technical Academy, Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center, Armored Corps, Chemical Corps, Military Science and Technology Institute, Military Industry - Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ) and commercial and service companies of the Ministry of National Defense.

In the exhibition area, there is also the Vietnam Cultural Space area, the "Achievements in building the People's Armed Forces, building the National Defense" exhibition area introducing the tradition and achievements of 80 years of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Army, 35 years of National Defense Day; introducing national defense economic products, digital transformation results of agencies, units and enterprises of the Army; introducing typical and characteristic products of ministries, branches, localities, organizations, associations, economic groups, enterprises...

The art performance "Vietnamese Bamboo" was performed at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition.

With the approval of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of National Defense presides over the organization of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 from December 19 to 22 with the aim of promoting international integration, strengthening defense diplomacy, while building trust and promoting and introducing Vietnamese defense industry products and brands to international friends.

Visitors experience the display of weapons of the military forces of the participating countries at the Exhibition.

Within the framework of the Exhibition, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Vietnam Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko said that the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 takes place in the context that Vietnam is preparing in all aspects to enter a new era, an era of national development. In particular, Vietnam attaches great importance to continuing to strengthen and expand international cooperation to develop a modern, dual-use defense industry, thereby contributing to the implementation of the policy of peaceful defense and self-defense, contributing to the modernization of the country. Organizing the exhibition shows the world the functions of the Vietnam People's Army as a fighting army, a working army, a production labor army.

“We see that Vietnam has invested a lot of intelligence, strength and material resources to prepare for the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 on a larger scale than in 2022. The exhibition's content is very rich, from product display and introduction, the participation of hundreds of businesses, dozens of international delegations to technical seminars and business connections,” the Russian Ambassador shared.
