On October 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Employment Service Center (Yescenter) coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry and Trade to organize the "Job Recruitment Day 2024" to promote activities to support businesses and workers, helping businesses quickly find personnel to develop production and business, and at the same time helping students and workers find suitable jobs.
The festival has the participation of 60 domestic and foreign enterprises operating in Ho Chi Minh City, of which 35 enterprises registered for direct recruitment with more than 3,500 job positions. It is expected that the festival will connect with more than 3,000 students about to graduate from the school and workers looking for jobs in the area.
Specifically, many industries are lacking human resources and are in need of recruiting a large number of workers such as: Information technology, mechanics, electricity - electronics, environment, economics - finance, tourism - restaurant - hotel... with salaries from 5-15 million VND/month, depending on the job position.
The organizers said that by attending the festival, students and workers have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities to employers and apply for job positions at businesses. This is an annual event, connecting businesses with final year students and workers looking for jobs, creating social security stability and connecting supply and demand in human resource development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Bui Manh Tuan, Principal of the College of Industry and Trade, shared that for the school, the student recruitment day is like a bridge to help students have the opportunity to interact, demonstrate their abilities and find job opportunities in their majors at reputable businesses.
This is one of the regular activities to implement the school's strategic goals and policies in career orientation, capacity building, and job introduction for students. The school will continue to strengthen cooperation with businesses under the motto of accompanying and developing together.
“Through the job fair, we hope to further promote the linkage between schools and businesses, from which the school will grasp the wishes and make adjustments to enhance the applicability of training programs associated with the actual needs of learners and the recruitment criteria of businesses. This is also an opportunity for students to learn about the labor market by listening, contacting and deeply understanding the needs of employers, in order to orient the right career path in the future,” Dr. Bui Manh Tuan shared.
