In Tuyen Quang, Black tea is harvested from buds of ancient snow-capped tea trees on the top of Tay Con Linh and other mountainous areas at an altitude of about 2,400m. Black tea is selected from buds of ancient snow-capped tea trees that are hundreds of years old. What makes the difference between Black tea and other types of tea depends on the processing. After harvesting, the tea will be withered and the tea fibers will be shaped. Experienced artisans will brew the tea for a certain period of time, the tea is brewed in earthenware jars in a cool environment. During the brewing process, the temperature and humidity must be strictly controlled. This process causes the tea to oxidize, producing beneficial microorganisms and changing the flavor of the tea. The brewing process will create sweet aromas such as honey, fruit, and even smoky. Through this process, the tea becomes sweet and mild, no longer astringent like regular green tea.

According to experienced tea drinkers, before making tea, you need to warm the entire teapot with hot water and then put the tea into the teapot. Next, pour boiling water at about 90 degrees Celsius into the teapot and heat the tea for about 20-25 seconds, then pour the tea into the cups and enjoy. When all the tea in the teapot has been poured, open the lid to let the tea leaves cool down. When drinking tea again, pour more boiling water into the teapot. To keep the tea clear and beautiful, when making and pouring tea, pour water into the teapot very gently, avoiding stirring the tea leaves in the teapot.
