Mobilize people to care for people

Upon receiving information from the local authorities that the house of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thieu's family (Tay ethnic group, Hamlet 7, Dak Lua commune) was degraded but they could not afford to rebuild, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province supported this family with 80 million VND from the Provincial Fund for the Poor. Next, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lua commune called on relatives and neighbors to help Mrs. Thieu with more money and labor. Thanks to that, Mrs. Thieu's house after completion was worth up to 150 million VND.

This is just one of the families that has received help from the community through the connection and distribution of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in recent times. This activity of the Front is associated with the motto "Taking the people's strength to care for the people".

Where people put their trust

One of the six tasks of the Front is to mobilize people of all walks of life to compete, be creative, and effectively carry out major campaigns and the Patriotic Emulation Movement. In carrying out this task, the Fronts at all levels in the province closely follow the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress and the Action Program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. At the same time, depending on the need for assistance of the people, the Fronts and member organizations at the same level have appropriate activities. In addition, the Fronts at all levels ensure that mobilized resources are brought to the right cases in need of assistance, transparency in revenue and expenditure, etc., becoming a trusted address chosen by the people to entrust resources to carry out social security work on their behalf.

Deputy Chief of Office of Dong Nai Power Company Limited Do Thanh Cong said: 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Southern Power Corporation and its affiliated units. However, the unit did not organize commemorative activities but used this fund to carry out social security work. Through the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the unit supported 8 families in Dak Lua commune to build houses with a sponsorship of 60 million VND/house. On the day of handing over the houses, the unit and representatives of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the commune organized a delegation to visit the house to celebrate and give additional gifts to encourage each family.

Along with groups, many individuals have used the Front to help the needy. Mr. Le Duong Bao Lam (Long Thanh commune) shared: "My friends and I want to find a reliable address to support the needy people on our behalf. Therefore, we decided to donate 200 million VND to the Provincial Fund for the Poor managed by the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee."

In particular, in the process of responding to the call to support people in the northern provinces affected by storm No. 3 in 2024, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee mobilized people to contribute 161.6 billion VND. Along with 160 tons of goods donated by people through the Provincial Red Cross Society... This amount of money and goods was promptly transferred by Dong Nai to support localities.

Thanks to that, in the period of 2024-2025, the total forms of mobilization to support social security work implemented by the Front in the province will reach over 1.3 trillion VND.

Building compassion and trust in the community

Currently, the communes and wards of the province have been organizing the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the commune level, term 2025-2030. At the same time, more than 1,700 Front working committees in hamlets, neighborhoods, and villages have recently completed the Front working conferences. The common point is that the Fronts at all levels focus on making the content of motivating people of all walks of life to compete, be creative, and effectively carry out major campaigns, the Patriotic Emulation Movement... become the key task in the new term.

Therefore, in the new term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the ward will coordinate with member organizations; people of all religions and ethnic groups to accompany the Party Committee and the government to carry out social security activities with the goal of not letting any poor person or family in difficult circumstances lack the attention and support from the State and the community.

According to Pham Tuan Hai, Head of the Front Work Committee of Cay Diep Hamlet, Dong Tam Commune, the Front Work Committee of the Hamlet will continue to play a bridging role in mobilizing and coordinating social resources, creating a mechanism for the well-off to help the poor; people with knowledge and experience to share with the community...

At the same time, in the process of implementing social security programs, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations always encourage sponsors to participate and witness the activities being organized.

According to Vice President of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations Tran Thuy Tien, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations has built partnerships with more than 60 foreign non -governmental organizations. In the process of implementing social security projects funded by non-governmental organizations, the unit always invites partners to participate. This is so that the sponsors can directly monitor the use of the resources they contribute.

Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province NGUYEN TAN PHU said: The Front from the province to the grassroots level and its member organizations are consistent in taking care of those in need of assistance with all received resources, ensuring that funding reaches the right beneficiaries.

In addition, all information on the receipt and use of contributions continues to be posted on the electronic information page by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations from the province to the grassroots; in coordination with Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio and Television, they are posted and broadcast on platforms for people to directly exercise their right to supervision. Thereby, demonstrating transparency in implementing social security work with mobilized resources.
