(CT) - After a period of use, the public toilets at Chien Thang Park, Vi Tan Ward, Can Tho City have now seriously degraded.

In this area, the restroom floor was filled with trash. Among them, there were many condom wrappers, old clothes mixed with scattered trash, emitting a strong stench. Items such as toilets and glass doors were damaged and broken. In addition, the entrance to the public restrooms became a place to collect broken trash cans, some gates were fenced, causing loss of aesthetics and inconvenience to residents and visitors. Currently, there is no unit managing and operating this area, along with the lack of awareness of some residents, making the image of the park become shabby.

Hau Giang Urban Construction and Water Supply Joint Stock Company said that the unit currently has 18 single and mobile toilets. Localities that need to organize events or activities related to public toilets should contact the unit. The company has not yet been assigned to manage and operate the fixed toilets at Chien Thang Park.

Faced with the dirty, offensive and unhygienic situation, local people hope that the authorities will soon find a solution to fix it, so that the public toilets can function properly, both creating a civilized urban image and ensuring hygiene, security and order in the park area.
