Intervision 2025 in the Russian Federation: So proud of Vietnam!

On September 21, just a few hours after the final round of the Intervision 2025 Competition ended, the Vietnamese representative went to the Vietnamese Embassy in Moscow to offer incense and "report" to Uncle Ho at the Ho Chi Minh Shrine in the Embassy grounds.

Here, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi presented singer Duc Phuc and his team with a bouquet of fresh flowers, recognizing and appreciating the brilliance of the young Vietnamese singer at the international music competition, contributing to introducing and promoting the image of Vietnam so that international friends can know about the culture, people, music and art of Vietnam.

Still not over the emotion, Duc Phuc seemed to still be filled with emotion from the moment he held the prestigious trophy, becoming the Intervision 2025 Champion. Duc Phuc said that when he and the other contestants went on stage to hear the announcement of the competition results, Duc Phuc did not wear the translation headphones, just looked at the projection screen around the stage.

Every time the name Vietnam appeared on the judges' score announcement list, the audience cheered and shouted out "Vietnam".

When the Organizing Committee announced the final results, Duc Phuc was completely unaware due to the loud cheers from the audience. Only when the female singer representing Belarus and the Kyrgyzstan band told Duc Phuc: “You are the winner”, did the male singer calm down and look up at the screen announcing Vietnam in first place with a total of 422 points.

"The feeling at that time was really happy and proud, honored and proud because I brought victory and pride to my homeland Vietnam," the male singer emotionally said.

Duc Phuc said the prize is truly a huge gift, marking the 10th anniversary of Duc Phuc becoming champion at The Voice 2015.

Talking about the reason why he chose the song “Phu Dong Thien Vuong” to participate in this contest, Duc Phuc shared that when he received the invitation from the program’s Organizing Committee, as well as being selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, Duc Phuc was a bit hesitant because Duc Phuc had never been to an international competition.

And in this competition, singer Duc Phuc will compete with representatives from 23 countries (initially announced as 25), so there were times when he wondered: Will he have enough strength to "fight" in that arena ? After Phuc discussed with his team and received unanimous support, Phuc said that he himself also thought and wanted to do something to celebrate 10 years of working. And finally, Duc Phuc decided to do it.

Duc Phuc said he read the program's rules very carefully, even though they were very long.

“I remember reading every word to understand the program thoroughly. First of all, the criteria for choosing songs with the duration of the song not exceeding 3 minutes and the limit of the number of people on stage is only 6 people,” the Intervision 2025 Champion recalled.

Duc Phuc has listed all the criteria and discussed with the production team to produce a new song specifically for this Intervision program. In particular, Duc Phuc realized that the criteria for participating songs encourage songs with cultural influences to introduce the national culture of the participants. This also coincides with Duc Phuc's intention.

Accordingly, the singer thought and discussed with his colleagues how to compose and bring a song with strong national identity to the event, and how to express the Vietnamese identity most clearly. And the image of "Thanh Giong" with the song "Phu Dong Thien Vuong" was born from that thought.

According to the Vietnamese representative, this journey to participate in Intervision has special meaning because the Organizing Committee always emphasizes that this is a playground for cultural exchange, connecting countries together through music.

The singer said that he felt lucky to be the representative of Vietnam to participate in the program. Previously, Duc Phuc shared with the media that he did not know whether he would win or not when participating in the program, but one thing is for sure, Phuc had his first victory, which is being chosen to represent Vietnam at Intervision 2025 this time, because Vietnam really has many talented artists.

During his time in Russia to prepare for the final night, Duc Phuc felt happy and moved by the affection of the Embassy staff, the Vietnamese community in Russia, and most of all, the affection of the contestants for each other.

Sharing about this proud journey in the "Land of White Birch", the Vietnamese representative affirmed that, as soon as he came to this program, Duc Phuc had prepared very carefully, together with the crew preparing many conical hats made specifically for each contestant.

Duc Phuc gave all the contestants and their teams to spread the cultural identity and traditional Vietnamese gifts as much as possible. In particular, Duc Phuc chose the first meeting at the performance order drawing ceremony, where many international media agencies attended, to give those gifts. Everyone loved it and expressed their wish to visit Vietnam one day. This is what Phuc did to spread people's feelings for Vietnam.

Referring to the contest prize, singer Duc Phuc revealed that he plans to donate part of the prize money to a charity in Russia and is currently in contact to send funds for the poor or elderly in the "Land of the White Birch".

After representing Vietnam won, Russian and international public opinion assessed Duc Phuc as completely deserving because of his elaborate and serious preparation. The male singer invested in costumes, props, sound, lighting and stage design, all of which were meticulous and magnificent.

Some young Russians who directly watched the performance of the Vietnamese singer said that this was a very good performance, conveying the message about the vitality, will and bravery of the Vietnamese people to international friends, seemingly touching the hearts of millions of Vietnamese people who were following every moment of the singer in their homeland and Russian audiences present in the auditorium or watching live on television.

When Duc Phuc’s performance had just ended, in an audience area where the delegates of foreign embassies were arranged by the Organizing Committee to watch the program, there was also a proud “moment” called “Vietnam”. The delegates all stood up to shake hands with the representative of the Vietnamese Embassy, expressed their emotions and congratulated Vietnam.

On the stage, when singer Duc Phuc and his crew moved back to the area reserved for contestants, hundreds of arms reached out and gently touched the young singer's hands, the two words "Vietnam" resounded proudly in unison in the large auditorium, the image of the Vietnamese national flag fluttering brightly red under the stage lights touched the audience's hearts with national pride that has its own profound identity.

The moment the results were announced, the Live Arena suddenly burst into loud cheers, the atmosphere was as enthusiastic as a “home field” of Vietnam. “So proud of Vietnam”! “ Congratulations , congratulations to us”! “A truly meaningful gift to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries”…

These are probably not just wishes, but also impressions, moments that will last forever after this contest.
