Specifically, the eastern coastal area of the province will experience two high tides. The high tide from October 8 to 12 will be strong, the highest water level at Ganh Hao station can exceed alert level III by about 20 cm; the tidal amplitude is from 3.5 to 4.1 m.

The high flow velocity and the possibility of coinciding with heavy rains in the province, there is a risk of flooding in low-lying areas, some low-altitude roads and landslides along rivers and estuaries. The peak tide is expected to appear at 4:30 a.m. on October 10 (19th day of the 8th lunar month) with a water level of 240 cm.

Also according to the Ca Mau Province Hydrometeorological Station, it is forecasted that in October 2025, there will be about 2-4 storms or tropical depressions active in the East Sea. The circulation of these storms and tropical depressions can cause strong winds and large waves, endangering ships, boats and other activities at sea...

Mr. Le Tuan Kiet (residing in Bac Lieu ward) shared: “My house is located near the bank of the Bac Lieu - Ca Mau canal, so when the tide rises, the water rises quickly. My family has proactively raised the house's foundation and built a retaining wall to proactively prevent the water from rising suddenly.”

To limit flooding in the inner city of Bac Lieu (now Bac Lieu ward), the authorities have built a drainage pumping station. At the same time, they have dredged sewers and drainage ditches, and renovated the sewer heads along the Bac Lieu - Ca Mau river.

In the face of the above situation, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province requested the provincial departments, branches, sectors and the People's Committees of communes and wards to closely monitor forecasts and warnings about high tides, strong winds, and big waves at sea, and promptly notify people to take precautions and have appropriate production plans. At the same time, continue to mobilize people to actively clear sewers and drainage ditches, collect waste, and clean the environment immediately after the high tide recedes.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment directs its subordinate units to inspect the entire system of sewers, dams, and pumping stations, thereby coordinating with local authorities to operate reasonably and effectively to drain water, prevent high tides, protect production, and strengthen guidance for people to reinforce embankments and prevent overflows. Take measures to ensure the safety of crops, livestock, and aquaculture, and implement policies to support production recovery due to natural disasters.

The Department of Construction shall preside over and coordinate with relevant localities and units to proactively develop plans to ensure traffic safety in areas and roads that have not been upgraded and are still flooded during high tides; review damaged locations and road sections that are likely to be flooded; proactively develop preventive measures, instructions, and warnings to inform traffic participants, avoid accidents, and ensure traffic safety for people.

The Provincial Military Command directed the Border Guard Command to strictly manage vehicles entering and exiting the seaport, and resolutely not allow vehicles that do not meet the prescribed conditions to operate at sea, especially those that do not have safety equipment and communications.

At the same time, regularly maintain communication with captains of vessels at sea and prepare forces and means to deploy rescue work when situations arise.

Previously, in September, due to the impact of heavy rain combined with high tides, the water level rose, flooding many sections of National Highway 1A, passing through Ca Mau province. High tides that lasted for many days made traffic and daily life of local people difficult.
