Phu Quoc - Squid noodle soup surprises Korean diners because it tastes just as good as Hanoi pho and has many similarities with Korean dishes.
Battle Trip is one of the most popular travel shows on KBS. During a vacation in Phu Quoc, two participants, models Haena and Jungseon, were extremely impressed when they tried squid noodle soup.
Model Haena shared that she loves Vietnamese pho, especially traditional Hanoi pho. However, she also wants to try specialties from other regions.
In the South, Hu Tieu is quite popular and sold in many places. However, Phu Quoc Squid Hu Tieu has a completely different flavor because of its geographical location close to southern Cambodia - the "homeland" of this dish.

The noodles are small and thin, quite similar to somyeon noodles used to make hot noodles popular in Korean meals. When eaten, Korean guests feel a chewy taste similar to vermicelli.
Called squid noodles, this version actually has more than just squid. It can be called seafood noodles. The toppings include shrimp, squid, and meat, with plenty of green onions for added aroma. In addition, diners can also request to add or remove other toppings. The meat is cut into thick pieces, so when eaten, you will feel the sweetness, softness, and juiciness. The shrimp and seafood are very fresh, so they are not mushy.
The noodle broth is simmered from bones, seafood... The broth is both sweet and rich and does not require too many spices such as lemon or chili.

The two experienced characters were quite surprised and thought that the aroma of Hu Tieu was similar to the popular, familiar scent of many Korean soups. Both affirmed that Hu Tieu should be known to more foreign tourists, besides the already famous Pho.
A full portion of Hu Tieu costs 68,000 VND, quite reasonable for diners to experience when traveling and relaxing in Phu Quoc .
