Opening of the Provincial Border Guard Emulation Congress for Victory in the period 2019

On the morning of July 18, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee and Command solemnly held the Emulation Congress for Victory for the period 2019 - 2024 with the theme: "Solidarity, democracy, innovation, victory".

Attending the congress, on behalf of the Border Guard Command, there were Major General Nguyen Van Thien, Deputy Commander of the Border Guard; representatives from the Political Department, the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention, and the Office of the Border Guard Command.

Attending the congress, on the side of Lao Cai province, there was comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council. Attending the congress were Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ly Seo Say; leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches and sectors of the province; Party committees under the Provincial Party Committee; Office of the Provincial People's Committee; Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of border districts and Lao Cai city; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, head of the Provincial Border Guard Command; representatives of departments and branches of the unit; advanced models representing typical collectives and individuals in the Emulation Movement for Victory.

Colonel Tran Quang Tung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, delivered the opening speech at the congress.

Speaking at the opening of the congress, Colonel Tran Quang Tung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, emphasized: Promoting the tradition of patriotic emulation, the emulation and reward work and the Emulation Movement for Victory in the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard have been led, directed and organized in a synchronous, comprehensive and extensive manner, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere throughout the unit. The Emulation Movement for Victory has contributed to enhancing the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, promoting democracy, excellently completing the task of managing and protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security, building a strong and comprehensive unit "Exemplary and typical", and a clean and strong Party organization.

This Provincial Border Guard Emulation Congress is an important political activity with profound significance to summarize and evaluate the results of emulation and reward work and the Emulation Movement for Victory; to commend, reward and honor outstanding examples in the period of 2019 - 2024; at the same time, to set out directions, goals, tasks and solutions to continue to innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of emulation and reward work and the Emulation Movement for Victory in the period of 2024 - 2029.

Major General Nguyen Van Thien, Deputy Commander of the Border Guard and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Xuan Truong presented flowers to congratulate the congress.

In particular, the Provincial Border Guard Emulation Congress will continue to promote, create new motivation and new spirit to build a Party organization that excellently completes its tasks, a comprehensively strong unit that is "Exemplary and typical", completing the task of protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation.
