Opening of the National Taekwondo Club Championship

Martial arts athletes perform at the Opening Ceremony.

The tournament has the participation of 46 units nationwide with 1,460 athletes, coaches, and team staff. The athletes compete for 226 sets of medals.

Mr. Choi Seung Jin, Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, delivered a welcome speech to the athletes.

In which, the individual competition has 4 age groups: under 12 years old; from 12 to 14 years old; from 15 to 17 years old and over 18 years old. The team competition has 3 age groups: from 12 to 14 years old; from 15 to 17 years old and from 18 years old and over.

Technical competition includes: Standard rights, creative rights and team performance.

Since its first event in 2010, the tournament has taken place in many localities across the country, and this year it is Thai Nguyen . This shows that the value of the tournament has been affirmed over the years and attracted the attention of localities and experts in hosting it.

Athletes compete in the men's individual competition.

Athletes compete in the U20 women's team standard martial arts event.

Ho Chi Minh City athletes compete in mixed doubles creative boxing.

Previously, on September 11, athletes competed in the following events: Standard, Creative and Team Performance, in the U12 and U20 age groups; and individual competitions for men and women in the U14 age group.

Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the winning athletes in the competitions on September 11.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huy, Vice President and General Secretary of Vietnam Taekwondo Federation, awarded the prize for the U14 women's team standard form content.

The Organizing Committee representative awarded the Team Cup to the winning units in the boxing competition.

The National Taekwondo Club Championship - Korean Ambassador Cup 2025 is one of the activities to welcome party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Through the tournament, the aim is to enhance the exchange, learning experiences and mutual understanding between units; at the same time, it is an opportunity to test and evaluate the professional level of athletes, on that basis, discover additional talents for the national Taekwondo team and youth team.

The tournament will take place until September 15, 2025, at Duc Xuan Ward Sports Stadium, Thai Nguyen province.
