During the medical examination, the elderly in the area are given comprehensive health checks by doctors such as: ultrasound, bone density measurement, blood pressure and cardiovascular check to detect some common diseases; health consultation, care, prevention of diseases for the elderly, treatment of chronic diseases if available, and policies on care and protection of the health of the elderly.
In the morning, the team examined more than 100 elderly people, detecting diseases mainly related to bones and joints, high blood pressure, blood circulation disorders, fatty liver, and kidney stones.
The delegation also provided free treatment and nutritional supplements worth nearly 10 million VND. This is a meaningful activity to honor and express gratitude for the contributions of the elderly; to raise awareness of society about issues affecting the lives and health of the elderly, to help them receive better care at home and in the community, and to improve their quality of life.
