Affirming the position of processing and manufacturing industry

Implementing Resolution No. 31-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on directions and tasks for 2025, along with the annual working theme "Breakthrough in economic development, creating momentum for the new term", Quang Ninh has been highly determined and making great efforts to complete the growth target of over 14%. In particular, the province continues to pay special attention to the field of high-tech, modern, environmentally friendly industry, especially the processing and manufacturing industry.

Quang Ninh has identified the shift in economic development structure from "brown" to "green" as an important, consistent, long-term policy that must be persistently and resolutely implemented. Right from the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 01-NQ/TU dated November 16, 2020 on rapid and sustainable development of the processing and manufacturing industry in the 2020-2025 period, with a vision to 2030. This is an important premise for the province to focus on attracting businesses and investors in this field with high and modern technology content in recent years.

As in August, Quang Ninh held the inauguration ceremony of the factory producing speakers, headphones and smart electronic devices invested by Tonly Vietnam Electronic Engineering Co., Ltd. in Dong Mai Industrial Park. The factory has a total investment of more than 2,100 billion VND on an area of ​​5 hectares. The project's capacity is 19 million electronic products of all kinds/year, including speakers, headphones; cameras and components, accessories; consumer electronics products; smart control devices and many other high-tech products. The project creates jobs for thousands of workers, contributes significantly to export turnover, budget revenue and promotes the development of the province's manufacturing and processing industry.

Previously, Tonly Vietnam Electronic Engineering Co., Ltd. had 2 projects in Quang Ninh in operation, annually producing millions of speakers, headphones, smart electronic devices, etc. In 2024, the projects will have a revenue of 620 million USD, an export value of over 600 million USD, a budget contribution of over 88 billion VND, and jobs for over 6,000 workers.

Workers at Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory (Viet Hung Industrial Park) operate the vehicle parts assembly system.

At Viet Hung Industrial Park, Thanh Cong Group held the inauguration ceremony of Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory Project. This is the first Skoda automobile factory in Southeast Asia, marking a new step in the processing and manufacturing industry of Quang Ninh province.

The factory is the central project in the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile and Supporting Industry Complex with a total area of ​​400 hectares, with a capital of VND 8,679 billion invested by Thanh Cong Group. The factory started construction in early 2023. After more than 2 years of implementation, the factory has officially been completed and put into operation to produce and assemble cars, with an equipment line invested to produce and assemble Skoda cars - the oldest car brand in the Czech Republic. The factory has a total area of ​​36.5 hectares; the scale of production and assembly of cars has a capacity of 120,000 cars/year. The entire production process at the factory is strictly controlled through a smart data management system, helping to optimize productivity and ensure product quality meets international standards. Up to now, Thanh Cong Group has brought to the market more than 1,000 vehicles manufactured at Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory.

After Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory went into commercial operation, Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile and Supporting Industry Complex continued to attract investment projects to build battery and engine factories; warehouse areas; R&D areas; supporting areas; port areas; service areas...

With positive changes from businesses and investors in the processing and manufacturing industry, the province's industrial production index (IIP) in August 2025 is estimated to increase by 20.47% over the same period. In the first 8 months, the IIP increased by 15.6% over the same period. In particular, the production index of the processing and manufacturing industry in August is estimated to increase by 33.9% over the same period. In the first 8 months, it is estimated to increase by 32.09% over the same period; 10/14 basic products have achieved and exceeded the 9-month plan. The processing and manufacturing industry continues to maintain its key role in the economic growth of Quang Ninh province.

It can be said that the projects in the field of processing and manufacturing that have continuously come into operation are clear evidence of the correct and correct policies of Quang Ninh, along with a favorable, open, transparent investment environment and the active support of the province to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses and investors.
