Khanh Hoa welcomes first flight from Deagu

(Fatherland) - The addition of the Deagu - Cam Ranh flight route will create conditions for Khanh Hoa tourism industry to welcome more Korean visitors in the near future.

At noon on October 27, VietJet Air flight number VJ 871 carrying 191 passengers from Daegu (South Korea) landed at Cam Ranh airport. This is the first flight from Daegu to Khanh Hoa.

Immediately after landing, the plane was greeted with a water cannon salute. VietJet Air gave flowers to the first 20 passengers and took souvenir photos.

Currently, South Korea is Khanh Hoa's largest international tourist market. In the first 9 months of 2024, the province welcomed more than 1.5 million visitors from South Korea out of a total of 3.5 million international visitors.

According to statistics, there are 11 Korean and Vietnamese airlines participating in the exploitation of bringing Korean tourists to Cam Ranh International Airport. Due to the increase in tourists from Korea at the end of the year, airlines have increased flights, currently there are an average of 21 flights per day bringing passengers from Korean cities to Cam Ranh Airport.

VietJet Air is currently operating 3 routes: Incheon – Cam Ranh, Busan – Cam Ranh and Deagu – Cam Ranh. According to the plan, the Deagu – Cam Ranh route will be operated with a frequency of 7 round trips per week, departing from Cam Ranh airport at 0:20 and arriving at Deagu International Airport at 6:50 (local time); the afternoon flight from Deagu International Airport will depart at 7:50 (local time) and arrive at Cam Ranh airport at 11:00.
