From the night of December 3 to December 11, the North will have rain in some places, especially on December 5-6. The night and morning will be cold, from around the night of December 5 to December 6, the weather is likely to turn cold after receiving an intensified cold front.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, cold air tends to increase in frequency and intensity in December. Severe cold is likely to appear in the second half of December.

The average temperature in the North and North Central regions is approximately the same as the average of many years, while other regions across the country are generally 0.5-1 degree Celsius higher.

This month, the Central and South Central regions continue to experience widespread moderate to heavy rains. In addition, dangerous weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind may still occur nationwide.

Total rainfall in the North, North Central and Central Highlands is 5-10mm lower than the average of many years, some places in the Northwest may be lower. Quang Binh to Khanh Hoa and the North of Ninh Thuan have total rainfall 50-100mm higher, other areas are generally 10-20mm higher than the average of many years in the same period.

In addition, in December, storm and tropical depression activity in the East Sea region may be at a level approximately equal to the average of many years (1 storm in the East Sea, 0.2 storms making landfall).
