Beginning and Ending

Báo Đại Đoàn KếtBáo Đại Đoàn Kết10/11/2024

Life is like a series of circles, where every beginning seems to hide an end, and each end quietly opens the door to a new journey. There are times when we rush into life with passion and hope, only to find ourselves falling into a rut of repetition. Sometimes, only when we let go, do we truly find freedom, and then a new beginning becomes as bright as the dawn after a long dark night.

I once met a person who said, "My ending is never an end, but another beginning. But that beginning is never the way I expected." Those words made me think forever, because it seemed to contain a profound philosophy. Life rarely goes according to the script we have written, and that is the magic. Unexpected endings and unexpected turns are opportunities for us to understand more about ourselves, about the world , and about the meaning of the things we cherish.

In love, the beginning is sometimes just a chance encounter. We think our hearts have found a companion, and so everything begins to become beautiful. But then, when love cracks, when passionate feelings gradually fade, we realize that the end has come without us knowing. Unfinished love affairs, unfulfilled promises suddenly become the past. People say that when a relationship ends, that is when we really have to face ourselves, to understand that there are things that cannot be held on to, and letting go is sometimes the only way to free ourselves.

But don’t be sad, because when we let go, we are also creating an opportunity for a new beginning. We may not be ready to accept it immediately, but over time, the pain will gradually fade and new hope will rekindle. The heart that has been hurt will know how to heal, to love again, stronger and deeper. Each ending is a lesson, helping us to mature, understand more clearly what we truly want, and appreciate the present moments.

Life is not only about love, but also about a journey of constant growth. Since we were children, we have had to go through countless beginnings and endings. The first day of school is the beginning of a new journey, but also the farewell to the carefree days with family. When we step into the university threshold, we are happy at the beginning of an independent life, but also feel sad when we have to leave our close friends. Then when we grow up, every time we change jobs, move house or simply end a long day of work, we all have the same cycle of beginnings and endings.

Young people sometimes get caught in this cycle. They crave success, but also fear failure; they crave freedom, but also fear uncertainty. Sometimes, they feel empty amidst the myriad of choices that life offers. They wonder where they are in this journey, and whether all their efforts really lead to a happy ending.

But the magic of life is that nothing is fixed. It is the changes, the endless beginnings and endings that make the journey more meaningful. Maybe today we fail, but from those stumbles, we learn many things and then stand up stronger. Maybe a door closes, but we never know what awaits us when we step through the next threshold. Sometimes, the good thing is not to reach the destination, but to enjoy every step on the road.

People say that autumn is the season of decay, but I see it as the season of beginning. When the yellow leaves fall, the trees seem to shed their burdens to prepare for a quiet winter, and then a fresh spring. The same is true of human life. Endings are sometimes just a way for us to feel lighter, to leave behind burdens and prepare for a new phase, a new journey.

When I look back over the years, there are things that have troubled me, relationships that have caused me pain. But now, I am grateful for them all, because they have made me who I am today. To understand that every beginning requires courage, and every ending requires patience to accept. And that, in the flow of life, nothing is ever truly lost. Everything transforms, becomes part of a larger circle that connects all that has been, is, and will be.

Finally, perhaps the most important thing I learned is to live fully in each moment. Don’t let what has yet to come worry you, and don’t let what has passed discourage you. Because whether it’s a beginning or an end, whether it’s happy or sad, it’s all part of life. That’s how the universe works, how we discover ourselves and find meaning in our journey.
