Lam Dong completes the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress at the commune level before September 30

On August 12, the Provincial Party Standing Committee issued Directive No. 01-CT/TU on leadership of the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels in Lam Dong province, term 2025 - 2030.

Accordingly, the time for conducting the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress at the commune level will start from August 2025 and be completed before September 30, 2025; at the provincial level, it will be completed in November 2025. The Congress of socio -political organizations will be held immediately after the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress at the same level and will be completed before December 2025.

The Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels is an event of great political and social significance. The Congress was held immediately after the implementation of the policies, resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat on the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus of the political system and the organization of local governments at two levels.

The Congress is a special milestone when it has merged and arranged socio-political organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State to be directly under the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Previously, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front issued Instruction No. 03/HD-MTTW-BTT, dated July 28, 2025, on organizing the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the provincial and communal levels for the 2025-2030 term.

According to the Guidelines, the Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front delegates at the commune level for the 2025-2030 term must be completed before October 31, 2025; the Provincial Congress must be completed before December 31, 2025.

The Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term carries out 4 contents. These are: Assessing the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the 2024 - 2029 term up to now, building the direction and tasks of the 2025 - 2030 term; discussing and contributing to the development of the documents of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the direct superior level, discussing and giving comments on the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (amended and supplemented); consulting on the election of committees and positions in the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the new term; consulting on the election of delegations to attend the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the direct superior level.

Regarding the number of delegates attending the commune-level congress for non-merged localities, it is no more than 120 delegates; localities merging 2-5 commune-level units are no more than 200 delegates; localities merging more than 6 commune-level units are no more than 250 delegates.

The number of delegates attending the provincial congress for non-merged localities is no more than 300 delegates; for merged localities, the maximum is no more than 350 delegates.

Depending on the specific situation of each locality, the number of delegates may be increased but not exceeding 15% of the number specified above.

The time to organize the Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front delegates at the commune level shall not exceed 1.5 days; the Congress at the provincial level shall not exceed 2 days.

Regarding personnel, the maximum number of members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the provincial level for the 2025-2030 term is 120 people, the Standing Committee is from 7-9 people.

For provinces and cities with 156 or more commune-level administrative units, the number of Committee members may be increased by no more than 30%. In special cases, the number of Committee members shall not exceed the number of existing commune-level administrative units in the locality. The specific number shall be considered and decided by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee at the same level. For commune level, the number of Committee members shall be from 50-70 people; the Standing Committee shall be from 5-6 people.
