This year's forest planting season in Quang Ninh took place in the previous context, over 128,000 hectares of forest were damaged by storm No. 3 Yagi, which led to a huge demand and requirement to speed up the forest planting progress. Currently, forest owners in the area have taken part in forest planting very urgently and resolutely, determined to achieve the highest results to compensate for the damaged forest area, quickly rebuilding the forestry economy as the set goal .

At the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival in eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho in the spring of At Ty 2025 of Quang Ninh province held in Dong Dinh village, Phong Du commune, Tien Yen district, on February 3, comrade Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that during the implementation process, it is necessary to review, research, and specifically calculate the type of tree suitable for the soil of each area, ensuring sustainability, long-term, serving the livelihoods of people in the future. Especially, in the spring when the weather is favorable for forest trees to grow, afforestation will be carried out simultaneously, reforesting areas devastated by the storm.

Immediately after the launching ceremony of the Provincial Tree Planting Festival, on February 7, at the Yen Trung Lake Provincial Tourist Area (Uong Bi City), Comrade Tran Hong Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister attended, shared joy and encouraged the spirit of tree planting and afforestation with officials and people of Quang Ninh Province. Comrade Tran Hong Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister presented Uong Bi City with 1,100 Caribbean pine trees and together with delegates and people in Uong Bi City planted trees right in the landscape areas of Yen Trung Lake. The Deputy Prime Minister called on all agencies, units, localities, officials, party members and people to continue to enthusiastically participate in tree planting right from the first days of spring; plant trees to restore and rebuild the forest area damaged by storm No. 3; strengthen forest management, care and protection. Thereby, contributing significantly to sustainable socio-economic development associated with environmental protection, multiplying the green color of forests after natural disasters.

The unit has quickly identified the advantages and difficulties in implementing afforestation in the area, promptly advised the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to assign specific afforestation targets to each locality and unit; developed a scenario, a general afforestation plan and required each unit and locality to have a detailed afforestation plan; monitored the progress of afforestation...

From the time of launching the Spring Tree Planting Festival on February 3 to February 12, the entire Quang Ninh province has planted over 550,000 new scattered trees and forest trees of all kinds. Quang Ninh's goal during this Tree Planting Festival (by the end of the first quarter of 2025) is to plant 1 million new trees, equivalent to 1,000 hectares of forest.
