Spreading love for the Fatherland through hashtag campaign on TikTok

Towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Press Department coordinated with TikTok to launch the campaign “I love my Fatherland – 80 years of a radiant Vietnam”, calling on the community to create positive and inspirational content about the history, culture and people of Vietnam.

Speaking at the training session on using TikTok in policy communication, Ms. Mai Huong Giang, Deputy Director of the Press Department, called on content creators to use the two hashtags #RangRoVietNam and #TetDocLap ( #ProudVietnam is encouraged) to recreate historical milestones through storytelling, combining traditional music , spreading stories about dedicated individuals and groups, introducing the beauty of traditional Vietnamese culture and arts, and encouraging the creation of music and dance for the Fatherland.

According to TikTok, as of August 11, about 20,000 videos had been uploaded with the two hashtags above, attracting more than 100 million views. Many outstanding works have exploited history with a creative perspective, applying modern visual and sound effects while still maintaining a solemn spirit, honoring national traditions.

The campaign is expected to continue to spread strongly in the coming days, contributing to arousing national pride and love for the Fatherland, while promoting the image of a peaceful , dynamic, and culturally rich Vietnam to international friends.
