On September 26, after 2.5 working days, the 18th Congress of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, completed its content, program and closed.
The Congress approved the political report and review report of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term XVII, 2020-2025; and elected the Lang Son Provincial Party Executive Committee, term XVIII, 2025-2030, consisting of 52 comrades.
The Lang Son Provincial Party Executive Committee elected a 14-member Provincial Party Standing Committee. Comrade Hoang Van Nghiem was re-elected as Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee. Comrades Doan Thi Hau and Nguyen Canh Toan were re-elected as Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee. Comrade Doan Thu Ha, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, was elected to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
The Provincial Party Executive Committee also elected the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee consisting of 11 comrades. Comrade Vu Hoang Quy, Secretary of the Party Committee of Huu Lung commune, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee.
The Congress elected a delegation to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party, including 19 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.
The Congress passed the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress; which determined that in the 2025-2030 term, the province will strengthen Party building and a streamlined, effective, efficient and effective political system; promote the strength of great national unity; improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management; focus on making breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation and the private economy .
Lang Son invests in completing connecting traffic infrastructure, industrial park and cluster infrastructure, urban areas; restructuring agriculture and forestry with high technology application; developing dynamic and modern border gate economy; promoting cultural and social development, developing green tourism associated with preserving and promoting national cultural values, improving people's material and spiritual life; strengthening national defense, security, foreign affairs, ensuring a peaceful, friendly and cooperative border to create momentum for rapid and sustainable development.
The province strives to become one of the growth poles of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region by 2030; and to become a fairly developed province of the country by 2035.
Lang Son aims to reach a gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of about VND111,100 billion by 2030; an average annual growth rate of 10-11%. The average gross regional domestic product per capita by 2030 will reach about VND130 million, equivalent to about USD5,000. By 2030, the proportion of digital economy in GRDP will reach over 30%; domestic revenue will increase by an average of 10% or more annually; local export turnover will increase by an average of 10-11% annually.
To achieve the set goals, the province has identified three breakthroughs: Developing socio-economic infrastructure, focusing on transport infrastructure, urban areas, industrial zones and clusters, accelerating the urbanization rate. The province continues to develop border gate economy, build smart border gates, trade, services, promote economic growth; promote bilateral cooperation with the Guangxi government to form a cross-border economic cooperation zone; build Lang Son into one of the logistics centers, a focal point for import-export activities, trade, services, tourism and key border gate economy.
Lang Son province promotes the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, builds a startup ecosystem; develops high-quality human resources; resolutely and synchronously implements solutions to ensure the successful implementation of the goals of building digital infrastructure, digital government, digital economy, digital society, digital human resources...
In his closing speech at the Congress, Lang Son Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Van Nghiem requested that, immediately after the Congress, Party committees at all levels should widely disseminate the results of the Congress to cadres, party members and people of all walks of life; well organize the research and fully and deeply grasp the goals, tasks and solutions set out in the Congress Resolution; promulgate working regulations, action programs, work programs, inspection and supervision programs for the entire term of the Party committees to deploy implementation, quickly bring the content of the Congress Resolution into life, creating strong changes in each field./.
