Emotional gratitude ceremony of more than 900 students of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted

On the morning of May 23, 516 9th grade students and 412 12th grade students of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) participated in the Gratitude and Maturity Ceremony for final year students of the 2022-2023 school year.

At the ceremony, teachers and students reviewed the past journey together, and at the same time created conditions for students to express their gratitude for the upbringing of their parents and teachers, and their attachment and love for their friends.

Speaking at the ceremony, Le Duc Anh, a grade 11 student majoring in English 3, expressed his gratitude to the school's board of directors for always creating favorable conditions and the best learning environment, helping students develop themselves fully and effectively.

For Hoang Thi Minh Thu, a student of class 12A2, she is very happy and emotional when looking back on the 3 years of studying and living at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted.

"In the last moment of participating in school activities, my friends and I will sing together songs of memories of our school days, share our thoughts and feelings, and send our teachers our heartfelt gratitude," Minh Thu expressed.

During the 3 years of high school, the thing this student regrets the most is the 2 years affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, which caused him to have few opportunities to participate in direct activities at school.

Coming here, after completing the high school graduation exam, members of class 12A2 will join a trip together to create more beautiful memories before officially saying goodbye to school age.

The traditional torch was passed on by grade 12 students to grade 9 students.

The gratitude ceremony became more solemn when the representatives of the 9th and 12th grade students were awarded the school badges by the teachers in the school board. In particular, the 12th grade students passed on the traditional torch to the 9th grade students with the hope that they would continue to promote the proud achievements of the unit.

Grade 12 students participate in group activities during a festival for themselves.

Mr. Nguyen Minh, Principal of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, said: "Please happily welcome the road ahead, a new turning point with positive energy, without sentimentality or sadness. We are only temporarily apart to achieve new goals, a new journey."

On that journey, Mr. Nguyen Minh hopes that students will have faith in themselves because faith will turn the impossible into the possible. Besides, students need to practice living modestly, finding ways to solve complex problems in life without rushing to seek help from relatives.

However, the most important thing is that students must know how to spend time loving and taking care of themselves, increasing communication with nature, and knowing how to say loving words to their parents and relatives.

Sharing with SGGP Newspaper reporter, Ms. Hoang Thi Bich Hang, mother of Nguyen Hoang Thong, a 12th grade Literature student at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, shared that her son had a 7-year journey (4 years in middle school and 3 years in high school) studying at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted.

"For me, the school has become a very familiar part of my memory. Every time I think about the fact that from tomorrow, both mother and child will have to temporarily say goodbye to the school, I feel very emotional. I want to send my thanks to all members of the board of directors and the entire teaching staff in the school who have devoted themselves to guiding generations of students to grow up and mature," Ms. Bich Hang expressed.

After completing 12 years of high school, Hoang Thong and all other 12th grade students will enter a new stage in university. Ms. Bich Hang in particular and all parents participating in the gratitude ceremony in general hope that their children will continue to develop the foundation of skills and knowledge learned in high school, thereby affirming the value of students of specialized schools, contributing to the overall development of the city.
