Regarding the payment of pensions and social insurance benefits in August, Director of Hanoi Social Insurance Phan Van Men said that the unit will coordinate to start paying to beneficiaries from August 5 with two forms of payment: cash and personal account.
According to Decision 166/QD-BHXH of Vietnam Social Security, the monthly pension and insurance benefit payment schedule is from the 2nd to the 25th of the month.
Explaining the payment of pensions and allowances to people on August 5, one day later than usual, Mr. Men said that because August 4 is Sunday, the unit will delay the payment one day to make the payment to people more thoughtful and convenient.
It is expected that in August, Hanoi will have about 97.25% of pension and social insurance beneficiaries receive their pension and social insurance benefits through payment into personal accounts, equivalent to 578,000 people; the remaining 16,100 people will receive their pension and social insurance benefits in cash.
The leader of Hanoi Social Insurance added that the unit is preparing about 4,100 billion VND to pay pensions and subsidies to people in August.
To achieve the above results, recently, Hanoi Social Insurance has coordinated with relevant units to continue to promote widespread propaganda about the benefits of receiving pensions and benefits by non-cash methods.
In addition, the unit coordinates to review and classify beneficiaries to have appropriate propaganda and account opening support measures... Thereby, the number of people receiving pensions and social insurance benefits in non-cash form is increasing.
Pursuant to Decree No. 75/2024/ND-CP of the Government on adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances, Vietnam Social Security will pay new pensions and allowances in July.
On the very first day Decree 75 took effect (July 1), Hanoi Social Insurance organized the payment of pensions according to the new benefit levels in a thoughtful manner, ensuring that they reach beneficiaries in a timely, accurate and safe manner.
In the payment period of July 2024, 593,757 people received pensions and social insurance benefits in Hanoi with an amount of over VND 4,082 billion, an increase of over VND 519 billion compared to June 2024.
Of which, payments through personal accounts were made by 562,569 people, reaching 94.75% (an increase of 274,627 people compared to June 2024) with the amount on the payment list being over VND 3,879 billion; payments in cash were made by 31,188 people with the amount on the payment list being over VND 203 billion.
