What did the coach and captain of the Thai women's volleyball team say when they lost to Vietnam for the first time?

The article on AVC reported that, in front of the enthusiastic cheers of 3,000 spectators, the home team successfully came back from a two-game deficit to defeat Thailand for the first time, winning the regional tournament for the first time. This victory made Vietnamese fans burst with joy because in the history of SEA Games or SEA V.League, the Vietnamese team had never defeated Thailand.

AVC also commented that the Thai team brought to the second stage of the SEA V.League the best lineup with stars such as Pimpichaya Kokram, Ajcharaporn Kongyot, Hattaya Bamrungsuk, Thatdao Nuekjang and Chatchu-on Moksri. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese team also had the strongest lineup with stars Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and Tran Thi Thanh Thuy.

The AVC homepage quoted captain Ajcharaporn's statement admitting: "We were unable to carry out flank attacks and organize defense and then the game tilted towards the Vietnamese team. The home team played very well. They have a real finisher who can shine at the right time (Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen - PV). This defeat will be a valuable lesson as we prepare for the upcoming world championship at home."

After the historic achievement of winning the SEA V.League for the first time, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is also preparing for the world championship taking place from August 22 to September 7 in Thailand. This is also the first time the Vietnamese team has participated in this tournament and aims to learn from strong opponents. The most important goal in 2025 that Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and her teammates are aiming for is the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games taking place in December, also in Thailand.
