A series of Vietnamese cakes were 'named' by a world-famous culinary website.

In the list of the world's best pancakes recently published by the famous culinary website Taste Atlas, a series of familiar names from Vietnam appeared.

With 4.2/5 stars, Vietnamese pancakes are ranked 31st on the list. The pancake shell is made from rice flour, has a bright yellow color of turmeric, and the aroma of coconut milk. The filling usually includes shrimp, minced or diced meat, and bean sprouts. When the batter is poured into the pan, it makes a "sizzling" sound, as the name suggests. The dish is often rolled with mustard greens, lettuce, and herbs, and served with sweet and sour fish sauce.

Banh khoai, a dish originating from Hue , also impressed experts and readers of Taste Atlas thanks to its harmonious combination of many local ingredients. What makes this dish special is the accompanying dipping sauce made from sesame, peanut butter and pork liver.

Another dish from Central Vietnam that makes the list this time is Banh Khot. According to Taste Atlas , Banh Khot is often confused by many tourists with another famous Vietnamese dish, Banh Can. Banh Khot is not as soft as Banh Can because it is fried in oil until crispy. Banh Khot is seasoned with turmeric to give it a beautiful golden color.

Banh uot Nha Trang ranked 79th on the list. The cake has a thin, almost transparent crust, made from rice flour and tapioca or potato flour. Banh uot is often served with dipping sauce, pork sausage, pork and fried onions.
